<\/p>\nCoronation Street has reportedly signed up Hollyoaks bad boy Calum Lill.<\/p>\n
The soap star shot to fame back in 2021 when he played PC Carlton Smith in the Channel 4 soap.<\/p>\n
During his time on Hollyoaks, Calum had a big part in John Paul McQueen's storyline which saw his boyfriend, PC George Smith, abuse him.<\/p>\n

But it seems the actor has swapped the famous Cheshire village for the Weatherfield cobbles. <\/p>\n
Sources have claimed Calum will be playing duty solicitor Joel Deering on the much-loved soap Coronation Street.<\/p>\n

His character is said to arrive on the show to help Lauren Bolton, and will reportedly grow rather close to Dee-Dee.<\/p>\n
A source told The Sun: "Callum\u2019s been filming for a few weeks and his character couldn\u2019t be more different from PC Smith on Hollyoaks.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019ll be on screen next week as part of Dee-Dee\u2019s new storyline."<\/p>\n
Calum played PC Carlton Smith on Hollyoaks for 12 episodes – but it\u2019s not the only show he has bagged roles in. <\/p>\n

In 2018 he appeared in three short films – I Can See Clearly Now, Sleep Warm, and Heads or Tails.<\/p>\n
A year later, he starred in Holby City, playing Chez Wilson-Needham, and also appeared in Brummie soap Doctors the same year, playing Conor Henson.<\/p>\n
In other Corrie news, former star Debra Stephenson has landed a role on Mrs Brown\u2019s Boys.<\/p>\n
Debra, who played Frankie Baldwin on the ITV soap, will make her debut on the new series of the BBC show as Anita.<\/p>\n
It marks a TV comeback for the star as it is her first TV role in two years.<\/p>\n
A show insider said: \u201cDebra is perfect for Mrs Brown\u2019s Boys because she brilliant at comedy.<\/p>\n

Debra\u2019s character Anita is a pal of fan favourite Cathy, played by Jennifer Gibney.<\/p>\n
It means she will be at the centre of the action.<\/p>\n
The insider added: "Debra is part of some brilliant storylines.<\/p>\n
"There\u2019s speculation she could be Cathy\u2019s half sister, so she could quite literally become part of the family."<\/p>\n
