Video shows black LA cop remain calm amid racist taunts from protesters

A black Los Angeles police officer remained calm and composed while a group of angry protesters taunted him with racial slurs — coming within inches of his face, video shows.

The stoic cop, wearing glasses and a helmet, remains stone-faced as at least three protesters — two of them wearing costume masks — yell at him and put up middle fingers in his face, the footage shows.

“You are a b—h,” one demonstrator is heard screaming, according to the clip posted on Twitter by videographer Tomas Morales.

Another man, who is black, calls the officer the N-word but the cop doesn’t take the bait.

The video was posted early Thursday as protests erupted in LA following a Kentucky grand jury’s decision to clear Louisville cops of criminal charges in the March 13 shooting death of Breonna Taylor during a botched police raid.

The decision in Taylor’s case, announced Wednesday afternoon, sparked a resurgence of Black Lives Matter protests throughout the nation, with two deputies shot in Louisville amid the violent unrest.

Demonstrations in California were also fueled by the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old black man by Orange County sheriffs deputies earlier on Wednesday, CBS in Los Angeles reported.

Several people were arrested during the demonstrations, the outlet said.
