SURGE Covid testing has been deployed in London to catch cases of the Delta variant from India.
It’s hoped the testing blitz will keep cases of the super-infectious variant down.

The Department of Health said everyone in Kingston should get a PCR test from Wednesday morning.
It follows the identification of a small number of confirmed cases of the Delta (B1.617.2) variant.
All the confirmed cases have been instructed to self-isolate and their contacts have been identified.
Everyone aged 11 and over who lives or works in these areas is strongly encouraged to take a COVID-19 PCR test, whether they are showing symptoms or not.
If you have symptoms you should book a free test online or by phone.
The London borough of Kingston-upon-Thames is the latest in a series of towns and cities which have needed surge testing against the Delta strain.
People living in Leicester, Hounslow, North Tyneside, Kirklees, Hampshire, Bradford and several parts of the North West are also currently being told to get swabbed.
