A MAN has been charged with murdering his mum-of-four partner who was found seriously injured in a home.

Salam Alshara, 27, was discovered at the house in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, on Sunday evening.

Her partner Wahib Albaradan, 35, has now been charged with murder and will appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court today.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the pair were a couple and said they arrived in the UK in 2020.

They moved to Dewsbury the following year with their four children.

A  "large scale" manhunt was launched after armed cops were scrambled to the scene on Sunday.

Salam, who was found badly injured inside, sadly couldn't be saved and was declared dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton who is leading the investigation, said: “We are continuing our investigations into Salam’s murder and as part of those enquires, we would like to speak to anyone who knew them.  

“Both parties, who were a couple, are thought to came to the UK in around 2020 and arrived in the Dewsbury area in 2021 with their four children."
