A MAN has been charged with the murder of his mum after she was found injured at home and later died.

Jason Phinn, 35, was held by the Metropolitan Police over the death of his 64-year-old mother Christie Eugene.

She was found injured when cops were called to a home in Brixton, south London, on Thursday at 8.10am, Scotland Yard has revealed.

The London Ambulance Service took her to a south London hospital in a critical condition, but she died at 10.05pm that day.

The Met said Phinn was arrested at the scene.

He appeared before Croydon Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody ahead of an Old Bailey hearing this Tuesday.
