THE Walking Dead boss hit back at rumours the show would end after season 12.
Despite post-production stalling and the loss of another major cast member in the latest episode of the zombie show, they have no plans of ending any time soon.
Chief creative officer Scott M. Gimple said wrapping up in the next two seasons "isn't the plan" – for the moment.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he added: "But, we are living in very weird times. You have caught me in a moment where nothing feels real, so for all I know, it's going to become a puppet show next week.
"It'll be good, though. We'll have all the original actors using voices and they can do the puppetry from their own homes."
But Walking Dead-deprived fans don't have to worry, as he continues: "We're kicking around some ideas to try and have some Walking Dead supportive fun for people stuck at home, to help keep people's spirits up.
"Hopefully we'll have more news about that soon."
There are only three episodes left of the tenth season, but fans will have to wait to see how it concludes.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the season finale will no longer air on Sunday, April 12 in the US as planned.
The show's official Twitter account released a statement earlier this week: "Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5.
"The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year."
However no exact date was given for when the finale would air.
