Sid Sumner (Billy Price) has demonstrated just how devoted he is to Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) in Hollyoaks, but little does he know that she doesn’t reciprocate the feelings he has for her, as she’s questioning her sexuality. However, during the coming episodes, everything falls into place for him, as he makes a discovery.
It’s a big week for both Sid and Juliet, but there’s tension aplenty between the pair ahead of what was meant to be a romantic getaway trip.
Jordan (Connor Calland) reveals that he intends on them doing a drug run while they’re away on a trip to the seaside, and — in spite of her initial hesitation Juliet agrees to go, as she fears for Sid’s safety if he were to go on her own.
Juliet, Sid, Ollie (Aedan Duckworth) and Imran (Ijaz Rana) set off on their trip to the seaside, and Juliet gets notified of where she and Sid are meant to drop the drugs off.
They arrive at the flat in question, and a young girl named Sasha winds Juliet up in regards to having more money and a new phone, which results in Juliet stealing the phone.
After completing their job, Sid and Juliet have a chat on the beach, and — as she discusses wanting to be like Peri (Ruby O’Donnell) — everything falls into place for Sid.
How will he react?
Speaking about Sid’s feelings for Juliet, actor Billy Price said: ‘Sid’s not as naïve as everyone thinks. There are a few moments that help him put some pieces of the puzzle together.’
‘At the minute he’s doing all the chasing with Juliet, but there’s only so much he can do without getting something back, and this is where he starts to realise that maybe that interest is somewhere else.’
