SEAL Team airs every Wednesday evening on CBS and Sky One in the US and UK respectively. Buffy and Angel star, David Boreanaz portrays Master Cheif Special Warfare Operator Jason Hayes, who is not having the easiest of times this season. Jason was arrested in episode nine, titled Reckoning, but why? Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.
Why was Jason arrested? What is Article 119?
SEAL Team season four, episode nine, was one of the show’s most intense instalment to date.
To make matters worse, the latest episode ended on a huge cliffhanger, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
Jason Hayes, who had previously taken a step back from Bravo Team duties, found himself accused of a very serious offence towards the end of the episode.
Jason was arrested by an NCIS agent in a bar on suspicion of violating Article 119 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).

The UCMJ is a federal law enacted by Congress that governs the military justice system and Article 199 covers manslaughter.
Unfortunately, SEAL Team did not reveal many details about the charge or if Jason committed manslaughter.
However, a trailer for the upcoming episode, A Question of Honor, showed a panicked Jason asking for answers to which he was told the charges against him came from a higher level.
Jason was also warned to prepare for the “fight of his life.”
SEAL Team viewers have been racking their brains to find a recent moment in the series which could warrant the charge of manslaughter.
There is the possibility his suggestion to use advanced interrogation tactics on terrorists when searching for Ray has come back to haunt him.
However, this would mean Sonny had lied to his superiors behind Jason’s back about Jason’s tactics not ever crossing the line.
Speaking to TV Insider about the show’s most recent twist, Sonny star AJ Buckley said: “It gets very A Few Good Men.

“It brings up a lot of stuff we’ve seen in the headlines of late and rules of engagement, rules of war.
“We have rules as American soldiers but you’re playing against a team that doesn’t have rules.
“It was cool talking to some of the guys about, how do you work in that environment when there is no rules on the other side?
“You just have to play by our team’s integrity and honour. It’s a great couple episodes that come out.”
He added: “.With COVID and the setbacks we had, it could’ve completely sunk our show because [it] is so action-heavy, but [executive producer] Spencer [Hudnut] really was able to pull an audible and go into the character stuff.
“If it was Season one or two, I don’t think it would’ve made it but the fact the audience is so invested in us now, we’re able to go down this road with these characters and peel back the layers psychologically and see what’s going on inside.”
Fans have been sharing their thoughts online about the huge twist in SEAL Team.
One fan tweeted: “Freaking awesome as always. That cliffhanger’s gonna keep me jumpy until next week #SEALTeam.”
