Ruth Langsford was overcome with emotion as she broke down in tears on Thursday’s Loose Women.
The presenter, alongside panelists Stacey Solomon, Saira Khan, and Nadia Sawalha, was discussing the last time she had a “good cry” when Ruth was left in tears.
The hosts opened up on their own personal experiences of letting out your emotions when the 60-year-old shared her story.

Ruth revealed how she was crying in her kitchen one night and was left emotional after her son Jack came behind her and gave her a hug.
“Because I’m a bit ‘right, let’s just get on with it’ and I was standing washing up and I didn’t know [Jack] was there and was having a good old blub.
“And he called me and just said ‘hi mum!’ and I turned around and because he could see I was crying, he literally put his arms around me,” Ruth said as she fought back tears.
Nadia then reassured her friend and fellow panelist that it’s “okay" to express emotions through crying.
She added: “I miss hugging my mum, I think we all miss hugging somebody.
“It’s a very human emotion. It’s alright to cry, because I’ve just done it on telly,” Ruth added as she wiped away a tear.
Ruth previously left her fans in tears after admitting how much she was missing her mother while in lockdown.
Ruth revealed that, while she wanted to visit her mum on Mother’s Day, she would be following government advice to distance yourself from others, particularly the elderly and vulnerable.
Ruth took to Instagram to shared a video which shows the star planting kiss on the window to her mum before they press their hands up against each other.
“Locked down but not forgotten! Happy Mother’s Day mum… love her!,” followed by a heart emoji.
In the clip, Eamonn Holmes’ wife can be heard saying: “Give us a kiss, Happy Mother’s Day.”
She then adds: “It is odd isn’t it? We miss you.”
