Normal People viewers are having to use subtitles to understand Irish accents in the raunchy hit BBC series – The Sun

VIEWERS are using subtitles to understand the Irish accents in hit series Normal People.

Others have also used them as they have been so distracted by the raunchy sex scenes.

More than 16million people have already watched the BBC coming-of-age drama.

The on-off love story, set in Sligo and Dublin, stars English actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Irish Paul Mescal.

But many have struggled to understand their accents.

AK tweeted: “I’m finally starting Normal People because I found subtitles.”

The six-hour series has 41 minutes of sex.

Delilah joked: “I have to use subtitles."

"They’re too hot I forget to listen to the words.”
