Nella Rose tells Farage hell never understand my struggles in Im A Celeb row

Nigel Farage and Nella Rose discuss cultural appropriation

Nella Rose told Nigel Farage he’ll “never understand my issues and struggles” as they got heated on the latest episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

During the episode, Nigel asked Nella in camp if he’d upset her, to which the YouTube star replied: “Yeah.”

Nigel said: “Right, well tell me why.” She explained: “I just feel like you were very dismissive about cultural appropriation yesterday.”

When former politician Nigel said he was concerned about it, Nella commented: “You kind of made a joke of it. It’s a song.”

Nigel asked the 26-year-old: “Do you think it’s OK in a song?”

Nella added: “Of course. We’re in the jungle, making music out of boredom. How does that get you any sort of backlash?”

She shared: “It was the costume reference. It was what you said like, ‘Oh, but if I was to dress up in a certain costume, then I’d get the backlash’, basically trying to imply that we can say and do whatever we like and not get backlash, but when you do it, you get backlash. That’s what I interpreted.”

“It’s cool,” she added. “I don’t have an issue with you. Like I said to you a couple of days ago, you are always going to have your opinions and I’m always going to have my opinions and we can agree to disagree, but let’s just not be the best of buds, because clearly we’re just from two different sides of the world and you’ll never understand my issues and struggles.”

Later on in the Bush Telegraph, former UKIP Leader Nigel said: “I’m worried about being accused of cultural appropriation, not as she took it that I was dismissive of it as a concept completely – but we’ve had a chat about it and that’s fine.”

Their heated discussion comes a day after the campmates discussed how people from different countries say the word water.

As Fred Sirieix said the word in a Jamaican accent, Nigel said: “If you said that they’d call it cultural appropriation Fred, they would!”

When Nella asked Nigel to explain himself, he said: “If a white person does a black accent, that’s considered to be a crime.”

She said: “It depends on what context, if you’re taking the p**s, then you’re taking the p**s but if you’re then you’re not.”

In response to Nella, the GB News host quipped: “You’re in can’t win territory.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
