Channel 4’s naughty dating series Naked Attraction has found a new audience after American streaming platform HBO’s Max dropped the first six seasons as a boxset.
Naked Attraction has garnered a mixed reaction from US audiences, which has ranged from confusion to outrage with one TV executive left to speak out and defend the programme.
The show had had its fair share of hilarious and saucy moments from an underwear confession by one contestant to the show’s oldest participant making a piercing admission and a virgin picker nearly fainting when it all became a bit too overwhelming.
With the show proving popular, here’s one of the more memorable moments from the series when Naked Attraction’s host Anna Richardson was forced to step in during an awkward snub.
In one episode, picker Rigby was left trying to figure out which lady he wanted to take on a date.
Contestant Lauren caught his eye after she gave a wriggle in her pod, and when her face was revealed she twirled a strand of her blond locks between her fingers as she put on a flirty display.
Despite this, Rigby decided to let Lauren go with host Anna saying: “Ah, Lauren’s star power wasn’t enough to get her through but why?”
Rigby said bluntly: “I’m looking for someone to be with permanently and I just think you might be a little bit too old for me.”
Lauren’s eyes bulged at the comment as she seemed shocked at his comments.

Anna seemed equally stunned and told Rigby: “Oh! You never say that to a lady. Rigby, you are saying farewell to the mighty Lauren. She’s a 41-year-old TV personality from Cardiff.”
Despite the brutal rejection, Lauren held her own as she got out of her pod and prepared to exit the studio floor.
Anna told Rigby to give Lauren a hug but she turned him down.
Lauren told him: “You could have had the goods but you’re not having them now.”
She gave a sheepish-looking Rigby a wink and slapped her posterior.
The contestant added: “Because you’re never going to get my backside now anyway.”

Anna’s gasped at the comments and looked at Rigby as Lauren said: “I’m going now. I don’t want to be around him. Don’t say that to a woman about age, just make up something. That’s your mother talking, alright?”
She continued: “You will be slapping yourself when you know who I am but you’ll also be slapping yourself but not with me, so there you go.”
As Lauren walked off, Anna told Rigby: “You’ve been properly b******ed.”
Transgender contestant Lauren was a child antiques prodigy and made appearances on Wogan and After Dark, sharing her insight on valuable items.
As an adult, she subsequently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and This Morning.
