Katie Price, Joe Swash, Will Kirk, Dion Dublin and Melissa Johns were in the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen on Monday as they battled it out to impress John Torode and Gregg Wallace. The BBC presenters are notoriously difficult to impress and Kate blasted Gregg when he criticised the dish she planned on making.
Introducing the final challenge of the instalment, John said: “This is what we call the dinner party challenge.
“Your idea of a dish that you would cook should friends and family come around for dinner.
“That means a little bit of style, a little bit of sparkle. You have one hour, at the end of this one of you is leaving the competition.”
Gregg and John went around to each contestant to find out what they would be making.

“You are really loving this, aren’t you?” Gregg asked Katie.
“I actually really am, I’m actually smiling because if this works then I’ve achieved something because I think it takes skill,” she replied.
“That’s fantastic,” John commented. “So you’ve got toad in the hole and what?”
“The mash potato that I do,” she answered. “I cook my mash different everyone always says, ‘Why do you keep the skins on your potatoes?’ Now the skin is good for you, I like the skin.”
Katie noticed Gregg grimacing and added: “Look at your face, get lost!
“You might like my mash, don’t know until you’ve tried it.”
Gregg added to the camera: “Skin in mashed potato? She said herself, ‘Everyone I feed it to says why did you do that?’ She knows other people don’t like it so why persevere?”
Katie served her toad in the hole with skin-on mash, peas and onion gravy.

Sharing his feedback on the finished dish, John said: “Your sausages are cooked all the way through, we’ve got a really lovely textured batter like a Yorkshire pudding and it goes very nicely with your sweet onion gravy.
“Your mash potato doesn’t want skin in it because the skin gets stuck in your teeth.”
“I’m actually alright with the skins it’s not something I would do. I like your batter, a little too much rosemary in here for me,” Gregg added.
“We’re getting there but it’s not without the odd issue.”

“Well I’ll see what my kids think because that’s what they’ll be having at the weekend,” Katie quipped.
Once the five contestants had served up their three dishes, Gregg and John revealed who would be progressing further into the competition.
Gregg admitted it was hard making the decision because everyone had experienced “ups and downs” in the kitchen.
The Repair Shop’s Will was eliminated while Katie, Dion, Melissa and Joe will get the chance to cook again.
Celebrity Masterchef continues on BBC One on Tuesday at 9pm.
