Inside Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver’s home with adorable dog and flowery garden – The Sun

CORONATION Street's Sue Cleaver is surrounded by a garden of lavender and her gorgeous dogs as she settles into lockdown life.

The actress – who plays Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap lives in a cosy home with husband Brian Owen and her adorable crossbreed dog, George Paws.

The 56-year-old actress has enjoyed the simple things in life while sitting in her flowery garden surrounded by the impressive lavender crops.

She recently shared a photo on Twitter of her sitting in the cosy scenic backyard while enjoying a homemade toastie and reading the food memoir, The Consolation of Food.

Sue captioned the tweet: "Lockdown toastie and a good book. Happy Wednesday Everyone."

During lockdown, she's kept in touch with family online and chatted to them while in the kitchen, which was decked with lime green walls and white cabinets.

Her slow cooker and other essential cooking tools were on full display as the star keeps up her commitment to a healthy diet during lockdown.

But as lockdown rules were eased, she popped round to Corrie co-star, Julia Goulding's home.

Julia who plays Shona Ramsey on the soap had Sue and her hubby around for the catch-up in her garden.

Sue later tweeted about their catch-up writing: "Hubby and I celebrated the new relaxed rules by visiting @juliagoulding and Ben tonight in their garden. It was joyous xxx"

She recently revealed she had dyed her hair pink as she made the most of her time off.
Posting a snap of her new hair on Twitter, she said: "As Eileen is locked in the prop cupboard for the foreseeable thought I’d dabble with the hair dye."

Sue has had to keep busy in lockdown as she awaited news about when Corrie would go back to filming after it came to a halt in March due the coronavirus pandemic, but told Lorraine Kelly bosses were working around the clock to find a way to get fresh episodes to fans.

She said: "Well all you need to know is that there are people working day and night behind the scenes figuring everything out I'm not party to that.

Sue – who first stepped onto the famous cobbles in 2000 – later admitted she had only planned to stay on the soap for a year.

She added: "I originally said I’d stay about a year, but the place is so seductive. Everybody knows an Eileen. She’s every woman, she’s down to earth, level-headed and loyal.

"She’s a great friend, but cr*p at everything else.”

The star is currently on a break from playing the cab caller amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
