Huge TV star splits from lover after seven years | The Sun

ACTOR Russell Tovey's romance with Steve Brockman has ended after seven years.

They quickly got engaged then, after a short-lived split in 2018, they rekindled their romance in 2019 and have been an item ever since.

But they have now hinted online at an acrimonious parting and unfollowed each other on Instagram.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Gavin & Stacey actor Russell shared a photo of himself with his dog Rocky with the caption: “It’s just you and me kid.”

He later changed it to: “This is all for you my son . . . ”

His close friend, artist Tracey Emin, tellingly commented: “Those ears never let you down.”

The screen star had set up a new life in Margate, Kent, with architect Steve and they were also renovating a home in East London.

In April Russell said that “absolutely we want children” and that the couple had a “fulfilling” life together.

During the same interview he admitted to melting down his engagement ring following their first split.

He added: “The break-up was heartbreaking but I really thought the relationship was over.

Chicken's second run

THE trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn Of The Nugget has been released.

The sequel to the 2000 original animation starring Mel Gibson is to come out on Netflix on December 15.

The first glimpse shows heroine Ginger and her fowl friends trying to break into a chicken farm, again run by the villainous, Mrs Tweedy, voiced by Miranda Richardson.

Director Sam Fell said : “A movie is only as good as its villain and Mrs Tweedy is one of the all-time greats. She’s out to take industrial-scale revenge on all chicken-kind.”

Outrageous rap bad girls return

THEY caused outrage with provocative single Wap and now Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are up to their old tricks once again.

The US rappers have teamed up for a new single Bongos, and feature in this eye-popping artwork.

I first revealed last week how Cardi would be collaborating with Megan again following the success of Wap, a No1 in 2020.

They have already shot a big-budget music video which they hope will overshadow their twerk-packed previous clip, so I’ve no doubt there will be plenty to write about when the song drops this Friday.

Kim's family affair at Bey's birthday bash

THEY haven’t had the best relationship, with Beyonce turning down an invite to Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West.

But the reality star showed it was all water under the bridge as she and her family turned out in force to watch the Crazy In Love singer’s birthday show in Los Angeles.

Kim was joined by daughter North, mum Kris Jenner, sister Khloe and niece Penelope for the gig, and they all wore silver, as Bey had asked.

Also there was Kim’s half sister Kylie Jenner, pictured with her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet for the first time, Adele and boyfriend Rich Paul, Lizzo, Kevin Hart, Zendaya and Tom Holland.

Soul legend Diana Ross hopped on stage to sing happy birthday.

Some night out.

Kamille's boozy Kylie duet

HANGING out with pop icon Kylie Minogue is a dream for many of us.

But it became a reality for singer-songwriter Kamille when the Aussie superstar enlisted her to co-write new single Tension.

In an exclusive chat, Kamille said: “We were all in this house making music and she brought out the Kylie wine. I was singing Better The Devil You Know with Kylie while we were having lunch.”

Kamille is preparing to release her debut album, K1, on Friday and she will headline at London’s Omeara on October 12.

She added: “It’s a big moment.”

Kamille has also been busy working with pal Fred Again on his new album.

She added: “He is one of my closest friends.”

Top gong for good guy Diddy

DIDDY has been confirmed as the recipient of the Global Icon Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, a fortnight after I told how he was being lined up for the major gong.

The veteran rapper, who will release his first album in 17 years, The Love Album: Off The Grid on Friday next week, will be celebrated at Tuesday’s ceremony in New York for his incredible contribution to music.

He has also proved to be one of the nicest guys in the business, paving the way for fairness in the industry.

He founded his label Bad Boy Records in 1993 and is now handing back the publishing rights to all of the artists on his roster, such as Faith Evans and Mase.

They will now get earnings from their back catalogues, even though Diddy could have sold them to make millions for himself.

Olivia had a Gut reaction

OLIVIA Rodrigo struggled to write new album Guts because she wasn’t heartbroken, unlike when she wrote her debut Sour.

She explained: “On the last album I was so f***ing inspired. I was going through this heartbreak, excavating so much s**t from my brain.

“I had so much to say, and this time I was like, ‘Huh, I don’t really feel as inspired. I’m not crying on the guitar any more’.

“So it was kind of a lesson in having to think of it more as a craft.”

Of the upcoming record, out on Friday, she told Interview magazine: “There’s one song that I wrote about how my life changed because of all of the things that happened with the last album and how crazy that was.

“It was cathartic in the end, but it was kind of hard dredging up all of that stuff.”
