General Hospital's Briana Lane ends stint as Brook Lynn Quartermaine

Briana Lane was feeling very grateful for the experience to step in as Brook Lynn Quartermaine for the past few months on General Hospital.

The actress was brought in to temporarily replace Amanda Setton during her maternity leave, and now Briana’s time on the show has come to an end.

Briana, 35, took to Instagram to look back at her experience as she wrote: ‘What a wild and beautiful ride ❤️ Playing the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine on #GH has been an absolute joy and honor.

‘Feel lucky to have been surrounded by such a gifted cast, kind crew and passionate producers and it’s an experience that I will always hold close to my heart. Huge thanks to all the fans who have been so welcoming to the new kid! Your support has made the transition for this first time soap-er truly seamless!’

She continued: ‘Passing the baton back to the beautiful and mega talented Amanda ❤️ Looking forward to watching what will definitely be a new and exciting chapter for Brook Lynn!

‘Thank you @generalhospitalabc for having me as part of your #GH family and letting me tell these heart filled stories. #BLQ4Ever.’

Sofia Mattsson (who plays Sasha Gilmore) commented: ‘You’ve been so amazing!!! 👏👏 So happy I got to work with you. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!’

Briana went on to share a moment from her last day on set with fans on Twitter as she wrote:’Last day on #GH Red heart Effortlessly talented captain of the ship @valentinifrank , goddess @lisalocicerogh , guiding light @wallykurth … still had tears in my eyes from Wally + I’s last scene as father + daughter.

‘TY to everyone for all the sweet responses, goodbyes + wishes tonight!!’

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
