During today’s Saturday Kitchen Live, host Matt Tebbutt invited comedian Jason Manford onto the BBC programme to taste some of the dishes cooked by guest chefs Tom Brown and Sally Abe. First up was Tom, who decided to whip up a posh version of rarebit crab on toast. The chef served the dish with pickled spring vegetables and it went down a storm with Jason.
As the comedian was tucking into the dish, he admitted to Matt that he felt sorry for the crew having to watch them eat.
“I feel sorry for the crew I do,” he began.
Matt chipped in: “Don’t feel sorry for them.”
“It’s the only show I have ever been on where the crew have got knives and forks in their pockets,” Jason joked.
