Emmerdales Nicky star leaves Lorraine Kelly floored with sibling revelation

Emmerdale's Nicky star Lewis Cope left presenter Lorraine Kelly stunned on Thursday's episode of her hit ITV chatshow as he revealed he is one of 14 siblings.

The actor, who plays the loveable Home Farm nanny on the hit ITV soap, appeared on Lorraine with his co-star Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby Thomas, to discuss their explosive wedding storyline.

However, chat soon got onto Nicky star Lewis' life as Lorraine, 63, asked about his big family.

To which Lewis said: "I'm one of 14!"

With Lorraine left stunned as she exclaimed in response: "14? Good grief! What is Christmas like round at your house? It must be bedlam, absolute bedlam, that is amazing!"

To which Lewis sweetly said: "It's lovely, yeah, love it – best day of the year!"

Lewis then revealed that his brothers all got into boxing with some even professional boxers but he decided to act instad.

He said: "My mum was really brilliant when we were younger and would take us all to different classes, whether that be boxing, rugby, football, whatever!

"Then whatever stuck, stuck, and for me it was dancing and performing."

Lewis also opened up about his link to David Beckham after working together in an advertising campaign for David’s fragrance Bold Instinct.

Speaking to The Mirror about the unlikely friendship before, Lewis, originally from Hartlepool, said: “I’m from a family of 14. Most of my brothers are boxers, but I chose to dance.

“David used my story to encourage people to be themselves. We spent a day filming and he interviewed me; he was such a nice guy.”

It isn’t the only time the pair have worked together either, as Lewis previously also modelled for David Beckham Eyewear, the footballer’s stylish glasses brand.

It comes as Emmerdale fans couldn't hide their surprise on Wednesday night, when it was revealed Kim Tate had teamed up with unlikely ally Cain Dingle to rumble Caleb Miligan's fraud plot.

It was revealed earlier this year that Frank Tate is Caleb's dad and that Nicky is his son with the two teaming up to take down Kim, as well as steal all her money.

Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
