Emmerdale: Lydia Dingle speaks to Kim about Craig
Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins recently gave her fans an update on the “hardest” moment she recently went through after competing in a charity run.
Away from the soap, Isabel is close friends with Kerry Wyatt star Laura Norton, who is currently on maternity leave from the soap.
Earlier this year, Laura revealed to her fans that her two children have a rare genetic condition. Jessie and Ronnie have been diagnosed with Usher syndrome.
The condition impacts both their hearing and vision, with the two friends taking part in the Great North Run recently.
Laura and Isabel ran a huge 13.1 miles to raise money for the charity CUREUsher, with Isabel sharing a snap of her run on Instagram.

She captioned the image: “Yesterday was one of the hardest and best things I’ve ever done!!
“And getting to share the experience with @laura_norts was amazing. THANK YOU to everyone who donated and helped us raise money for @cureusher.
“To everyone who ran the @great_run yesterday, I am in awe of you”. (sic)
Fans were quick to congratulate them on their achievement, as Jason said: “Congratulations to you and Laura for doing this. Amazing achievement, brilliant”.

Announcing her child’s diagnosis, she wrote: “Within the last year both of our children have been diagnosed with the condition usher syndrome, something neither of us had heard of before.
“We are on a journey, and learning as we go. There are 3 main types of usher affecting hearing, vision and balance variably.
“Our children are incredible. Already thriving in the face of adversity and we will devote ourselves to doing everything in our power to find a treatment and a cure.
“Trials are ready to go but the condition is so rare and unheard of it doesn’t have the support and funding to move at the rate that it could.” (sic)
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
