Emmerdale fans have been waiting with baited breath to see who the new owner of The Woolpack will be.
While names including Kim Tate (Claire King) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) have all been in the mix, some eagle-eyed viewers think they’ve managed to uncover the true identity of who will take over from Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
Many believe that none other than Ryan Stocks (James Moore) will be the mystery top bidder in the much-discussed auction.
And the biggest clue so far has come in the form of a recent scene on the ITV soap where Ryan discovered that his mum Irene Stocks (Eithne Brown) had died off screen.
Now, fans have put together the pieces of the puzzle and come up with the theory that Ryan will use inheritance money from his mum to land The Woolpack.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “ #emmerdale. I’m wondering if it will be Ryan who buys the Woolpack with his inheritance from his mum
Another agreed, writing: “I'm guessing that Ryan inherits money and bids for the Woolpack?”
A third proposed: “What a bet irene leaves ryan a nice tidy sum and he ends up buying the woolpack #Emmerdale ”
One more detective armchair wrote: “#emmerdale If I was Mystic Meg , I'd probably guess that Ryan was going to inherit shedloads of money in his late mother's will & he'll be the mystery investor in the failing Woolpack (even though his expertise lies in computers).”
While another questioned: “Who was on the phone to Kim? Could have been Ryan with a deal for the Woolpack. That said, how would he have her number? #Emmerdale.”
Viewers will have to wait and see whether their prediction is correct, however the wait for that is almost over.
In scenes that will air on Thursday 3 February, Chas and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) will find out who has bought the pub off of them.
But tensions are running high on the lead-up, as Chas is struggling to say goodbye to the place she’s called home for the past decade.

In a short, teaser clip ahead of the scenes, Chas can be seen staring at The Woolpack, before husband Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) joins her to see how she is feeling.
“I can’t believe it’s come to this,” Chas tells Paddy. “Ten years…”
As she says she is worried it will be Kim who “snatches” her pub away from her, Paddy tries to reassure her, but Chas replies: “Well, whoever it is, it won’t be me or Marlon.”
