It’s the beginning of a new week, and we all know what that means in the land of soap: there’s plenty more drama ahead! In EastEnders, terrified Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) makes a shocking discovery, while Carla Connor (Alison King) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) take over the Rovers in Coronation Street.
Meanwhile, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) antagonises Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) during Vanessa Woodfield’s (Emma Atkins) first chemotherapy session in Emmerdale, and Celeste Faroe (Andrea Ali) is on yet another mission to find out more about dad Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) in Hollyoaks.
Whitney’s discovery leads to a huge decision in EastEnders
Whitney notices everyone glaring at her, and she soon discovers Michaela has posted online about her — something which naturally leaves her crushed. Max opens up to her about the time he spent in prison, and — afterwards — Whitney decides that it’s time to take matters into her own hands, and her plan becomes apparent when she clutches her passport in hand.
Carla and Peter take over the Rovers in Coronation Street
While Jenny is glad of the business that mystery man Scott is bringing, Johnny is soon trying to persuade her that they should take an impromptu holiday to visit Eva. Johnny hits up Carla and Peter and they agree to move into the premises in their absence.
Charity causes a scene in Emmerdale
Vanessa then heads off to the hospital and faces chemo alone — that is, until Kerry — who happens to be walking by — pops in to keep her company. As the pair chat, a thawing of sorts takes place, but Charity shows up and is enraged — and proceeds to cause a scene by flipping out.
Felix is on a mission in Hollyoaks
Felix hopes Mitchell will be able to find out why Martine is giving him the cold shoulder following their lunch date the day before.
Ash’s declaration of love in EastEnders
Ash has another run in with Iqra, and she later vents to Vinny. However, both panic when Suki arrives home early. What transpires remains to be seen, but — later — Ash seeks out Iqra and apologises to her, before admitting that she’s in love with her.
Geoff manipulates the situation again in Coronation Street
Geoff reads Yasmeen’s pamphlet on domestic abuse — particularly the part where it lists signs of controlling behaviour — and decides to take a different approach. Cathy comes round, and Geoff proceeds to manipulate the situation so that Yasmeen ends up offending Cathy — who then storms out in anger.
Vanessa asks a big question of Charity in Emmerdale
Vanessa doesn’t feel so good as the week carries on, and Charity seeks solace in the booze, but they attempt to put their differences behind them — that is, until Vanessa asks a big question of her intended. Charity doesn’t answer as Vanessa hoped she would, and therefore their rift remains unhealed.
Celeste is determined in Hollyoaks
Celeste makes contact with Felix’s old cell mate in the hopes that she’ll nr able to find out more about her father.
Stuart makes a big decision about Rainie in EastEnders
Stuart speaks to Callum (Tony Clay) and — after doing so — he’s inspired to propose to Rainie once more, and therefore he sets about organising an incredibly elaborate proposal.
Shock violence rocks the cobbles in Coronation Street
Dev forces Asha to attend Mary’s youth volunteering group tidying up Victoria Gardens. Amy, Summer and Kelly comfort Asha, but Aadi starts a fight with a lad who was mocking his sister.
