Coronation Street spoilers – OnlyFans BAN for Corrie & Emmerdale stars after Sarah Jayne Dunn; plus Eastenders latest

CORONATION Street and Emmerdale bosses have issued a ban on any of their stars appearing on adult website OnlyFans.

Soap bosses issued the edict as part of a clamp down on actors flogging products on their social media platforms.

ITV have banned anything that could bring the company into disrepute, including cosmetic surgery and diet products and “adult entertainment.”

It comes in the wake of Hollyoaks receiving a major backlash for sacking actress Sarah Jayne Dunn after she launched her OnlyFans profile.

She has made more than £120k from the account since launching it last month.

Sarah Jayne Dunn slams Hollyoaks for ‘judging her’ over OnlyFans

SARAH Jayne Dunn has slammed Hollyoaks for "judging her" over OnlyFans and said she "had to" strip off for the soap's sexy shoots.

Last week The Sun revealed that the actress was axed from her role on the Channel 4 soap after refusing to quit stripping on the controversial 18+ network.

The soap star, who has played Mandy Richardson in the Channel four soap on off since 1996, has been stripping off online for several weeks.

A huge row broke out when bosses gave her a warning over conduct because of the show's young audience and has since then lost her job.

When asked if she felt "morally judged" by Hollyoaks on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour earlier today, Sarah said: "I do feel judged, definitely.

"And I feel disappointed. I feel like I've been reprimanded for something I've been contractually bound to do, by the show, for most of my career.

"I'm actually not doing anything different to what I've been doing for as long as Instagram has been a thing."

"It’s not long since we had a shooting at the HOP. It’s not got a great record of safety in that sense so he’s having a bit of a PR nightmare. It’s bad for business. He doesn’t want the journalist sniffing around."

He added: "From the HOP perspective, Ben has signed off all of the risk assessments so that’s the next person in the firing line.

"There’s a pecking order for who he’s going to go for first. Obviously, he’s at the very back of that queue.

"He does have this card to play which is to pin it on Ben because he signed the risk assessments on behalf of the business."

Sarah Jayne Dunn receiving lots of support from Hollyoaks fans

The Sun revealed that the Mandy Richardson actress, 40, was dismissed from her £120k a year role after refusing to quit stripping on the X-rated OnlyFans website.

Sarah has been stripping off online for several weeks and has received several warnings off bosses over her conduct because of the show’s young audience. The star refused to stop and has now now been asked to stand down from her role, that she first took on in 1996.

But fans of the Channel 4 soap are fuming considering scenes on the show are just as racy as what can get posted on the controversial 18+ network.

One wrote on Twitter: “Hollyoaks have hardly done youth friendly content outside watershed. Examples, the word b***h has been used in a derogatory term several times, there is literally a storyline with cameras in peris bedroom.”

Another said: “@lgbthizzie @Hollyoaks they’re hypocritical! they’ve had multiple nude scenes with MEN, but as long as it’s a man it’s fine???? there’s some misogynistic behaviour happening with the bosses at lime .. someone needs their job role re-evaluate.”

"It would be such an iconic moment if it happened, to be an EastEnders bride – that's a big 'un.

"I loved Tanya Branning's wedding dress because she was so delicate and princess-like, and Martine McCutcheon's as Tiffany Mitchell was pretty lavish, too."

Zaraah, who only joined the cast last year, told Inside Soap: "I went straight to Di Parish [Diane], and said, 'I haven't paid my mortgage off yet!' and she was like 'Don't worry too much – yet!' But I was excited because I knew it would mean some really gritty stuff to come, and I love working with Toby-Alexander Smith [Gray]."

Denise Welch ‘removed from Hollyoaks set’ after testing positive for Covid

DENISE Welch has revealed she was removed from the Hollyoaks set after testing positive for Covid.

The 63-year-old, who plays Trish Minniver on the Channel 4 soap, slammed the “ridiculous” testing system after she received mixed results from her lateral flow and PCR.

She tweeted:  “Just had covid. Nothing like the bronchitis I had recently which was most ill I’ve ever been. Lost taste & smell with both. At work 10 days ago. Was removed from set & they had me tested. LF & PCR taken at same time. LF was negative, PCR came back positive. Go figure.

“By the way I’m not negating the danger of Covid in some people. I just lost my dad to pneumonia. All horrible virus’. But the testing is ridiculous. And to me all proves how pointless covid passports are.”

The actress, who has been very vocal about being against Covid rules and vaccines for children, went on to claim: “The fact that these tests have not been stopped in nearly 2 yrs is unbelievable. In April 2020, my radiographer cousin told me that in her London hospital people were testing negative when their lungs clearly showed Covid. She was also told she couldn’t say that ‘publicly’.”

Hollyoaks has confirmed that the set has remained open for filming to continue.

Soap stars under ITV's strict ban over endorsing certain products

ITV have banned anything that could bring the company into disrepute, including cosmetic surgery and diet products and “adult entertainment.”

The move allows cast members to post paid advertisements, with the producers’ blessing, in a bid to prevent cast members from quitting the shows because they make more money online.

A TV insider said: “Stars like former Corrie actor Helen Flanagan are inundated with opportunities to promote products on platform including Instagram. And earnings can often dwarf any salary actors get paid on the soaps, meaning it can be more lucrative to  leave the shows to effectively sell goods.

“This is simply a smart way to ensure they can still advertise products while remaining on the shows .But they spell out in black and white what’s deemed unacceptable – as previously it’s been a grey area.”

Matthew Wolfenden & Isabel Hodgins' Emmerdale row (continued…)

One insider said: “The cast had travelled to film what they were calling the ‘Summer Stunt’ — dramatic waterfall scenes that aired on October 19.

“While they were on set a comment was made which unintentionally caused offence, and an argument broke out among some of the cast members.

"This was a massive deal for all of them and obviously everyone was under pressure to make scenes work.

“Emmerdale take these kind of allegations very seriously, and Matthew and Isabel did not film scenes while inquiries were made. It was not a decision they took lightly, as it had huge consequences for the team as they are massive characters. But the bosses felt it was a necessary step to take.

“They investigated the matter fully and are now satisfied that no further action is necessary. The actors are really professional.”

What happened between Matthew & Isabel Hodgins on Emmerdale set?

Their family time comes just days after it was revealed that Emmerdale was rocked by a "very heated" on-set clash between Matthew and Isabel Hodgins, 27, while filming for ITV’s Super Soap Week.

The pair were caught up in a row while filming dramatic waterfall scenes for a blockbuster episode, which aired last month.

Tempers flared off camera and a source said: “It left a lot of those present at the filming feeling uncomfortable. It was a very heated situation.

"Tempers were running very high. It was tense and bosses got to hear about what had gone on very quickly.”

The on-screen couple took a break from filming at Tees Barrage water park in Stockton-on-Tees while bosses made inquiries.
