I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Boy George has spilled on his jungle experience – and one moment that truly saved him on the show.

The famous pop sensation was regularly seen meditating while he was in the jungle, and while it frustrated some, it definitely gave George a helping hand.

Joining Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show, George arrived in style as he showed up in a golf buggy – the transport he almost quit the ITV show over.

As he appeared on the sofa the pair spoke about his time in the jungle as Lorraine praised his meditation for keeping him incredibly calm throughout.

But it seems it did more than keep him calm as George revealed he was "saved from a snake" while doing so.

He said: "What I did learn in there was my spiritual practices 1000% worked. They kept the animals away from me. They kept me safe.

"There was a snake and it came at me and just moved back when I was doing the 'ahmm'. It removed the tension I was feeling.

"I thought, 'What am I gonna do here? The animal is going to know I'm scared', and that is when they say they might bite you."

George said he input his practices and said: "I reckon the snake understood. They say to say a little prayer to the creatures, ask if you can share their space.

"It might have looked like I was crazy but I was so far out of my comfort zone that I had to do something to keep myself sane."

The pop sensation was regularly seen meditating while he was on the show – and it seems it certainly worked for him as he recalled the positive experience to Lorraine.

Lorraine gushed over her pal George as he joined her for his first TV interview since appearing on the show and immediately welcomed him in for a hug as he arrived on set.

It comes after Lorraine teased him for threatening to quit the show because he wasn't given a lift back to camp in a golf buggy – but he laughed off the jibe and arrived on her set in one instead.

Lorraine continues weekdays at 9am on ITV.
