Rihanna's demo of Selena Gomez's single Same Old Love resurfaces

Rihanna’s demo version of Selena Gomez’s hit single Same Old Love has resurfaced, and naturally, it sounds amazing.

The Pon De Replay singer had been offered the chance to record the track back when she was working on her last album, ANTI.

And while the song sounds amazing with Riri’s vocals, the singer decided to pass on the single.

Anyone who’s listened to ANTI will know that the song could have been made to fit the vibe of the album, but the Love On The Brain singer had the perfect sultry belters on the project.

In the end, Selena Gomez went on to release the track in 2015 and it featured on her album, Revival.

The single is currently has over 400 million Spotify streams and has been certified 3x platinum so everything worked out pretty well.

At the time, many fans believed she was singing about her relationship with on-off boyfriend Justin Bieber.

The song was written by British musician Charli XCX along with Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Benny Blanco, Ross Golan, and Tor Erik Hermansen.

Miley Cyrus’ game-changing single We Can’t Stop, Sia’s Cheap Thrills and The Chainsmokers’ Don’t Let Me Down are just some of the ones we know about.
