With the new school year fast approaching, many parents will be facing the prospect of forking out a fortune for new uniforms.
But now a British mother has revealed how she slashed the cost of the expensive outfits, and got her child ready for September for a bargain price.
TikTok creator Francesca, who is also a nurse, took to the platform to reveal how she bought her son’s school uniform for just £1 – by picking up all the items she needed from a charity shop.
In a video, she revealed how she bagged three pairs of trousers and two polo shirts for just 20p each and ‘saved a fortune’. She also pointed out that the items are all in excellent condition.

The mother joked: ‘Maybe this is wishful thinking, that the summer holidays are over and that my children would return to school.
‘But I picked up some school stuff for my son from the charity shop. I got three pairs of trousers and two polo shirts.’
The mother then revealed that she bagged the items for £1, while looking particularly pleased with herself.
