The one issue friends often have when going out for meals or drinks is splitting the bill at the end.
Some opt to split it right down the middle so everyone pays the same while others prefer to work out exactly how much each person has bought so they’re not overcharged.
But you can be fairly sure that none of your pals are as nitpicky as Peter Pierdinock’s.
He shared a video to his TikTok, @peterbribylpierdinock, of an astonishing text conversation after a night out.
It starts with his friend saying: “Hey! I’m dividing up the dinner bill right now. You had some of my fries right? Lol.”
Understandably baffled by the question, Peter replies: “Haha I think I had a couple, why?”
Without any shame, his friend says: “Ok cool no worries lmao, I’ll just ad [sic] like 47 cents (33p) to ur [sic] venom charge? If that’s cool.
“So $23.83 (£16.83) total. Ur meal + tip + part of my meal that you ate.”
Peter, who can be seen in front of the text message screen grab, finishes the video by yelling: “What the f*** is this?”
The clip has been seen more than 4 million times and it's fair to say many of the viewers agreed with the uploader that the friend was bang out of order.
“How is he not embarrassed?” one asked.
Another added: “I would never talk to them again.”
While a third said: “This makes my skin crawl.”
But some people defended Peter’s friend, with one asking: “Why are you all so pressed? They just wanted their money.”
It comes after a stingy wife admitted that she buys “crusty” thongs from charity shops to save money.
The woman, called Apple, appeared on TLC’s Extreme Cheapskates and shared her tips to achieve a makeover on a budget.
