Rihanna’s entrepreneur skills speak for themselves. The pop-R&B megastar took a step back from her music to focus on building her Fenty empire, which includes the string of companies Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and lingerie line Savage x Fenty. In 2019, Rihanna launched her Fenty clothing line, making her the first Black woman to own a luxury fashion brand under the LVMH umbrella, per CNN. Additionally, the “Needed Me” crooner became the world’s richest female musician with an impressive $600 million fortune.
Rihanna’s journey to riches hasn’t been the easiest, especially during a global pandemic. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic preventing hands-on operations, the singer temporarily closed her Fenty clothing line in February 2021, per Teen Vogue. Although the clothing line was cut short, Rihanna isn’t in a panic; in fact, she’s already plotting her next move. Read on to find how the bad gal is expanding her Fenty brand once more.
Rihanna has reportedly filed a trademark application for Fenty Hair
It looks like we have something from Rihanna on the way — and no, it’s not her music. Weeks after announcing the pause on her Fenty clothing line, Rihanna began the process of working on her next business venture. Rihanna’s company, Roraj Trade LLC, reportedly filed the trademark application for Fenty Hair on March 3, 2021, per legal documents. The documents also outline the prospective products the Fenty brand will offer, such as shampoos, relaxers, color and bleaching products, and hair glitter. As of this writing, the trademark is pending approval, so it may take some time before we see Fenty Hair line in stores.
Although the venture has not been formally announced, as of this post, fans are looking forward to the singer’s hair care line … even if it means no music (cue a long sigh). One fan tweeted, “Can’t wait to be around the house in my fenty furnitures, fenty skin on, in my savageXfenty, doing my fenty hair , wearing fentyXpuma, while listening to absolutely NOTHING.” We share the same sentiments, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come of the prospect!
