Love Love Island? Our Factor 50 email brings all the goss direct to your inbox
We’re all feeling a bit empty now Love Island is over, but there’s another show in the wings ready to take its place!
Married at First Sight UK hits our screens on Monday, set to see us through the autumn with more romance and relationship drama. Meet the singletons here!
The bold social experiment – now in its sixth series – sees single people, matched by experts, marry total strangers!
Each couple meets for the very first time on their wedding day, but will their marriage last?
While we can’t expect Love Island’s sun-soaked villa and bikini-clad singletons, the show will keep us on our toes with a huge twist.
But what’s it all about? Ahead of its big release, we’ve unearthed all you need to know about the UK’s wildest dating show.
Series six takes inspiration from the Australian version – which became essential viewing here during lockdown.
The Aussie version sees singletons who’ve never met exchange vows in a special ceremony.
Then, newly married, each couple is whisked away to a gorgeous honeymoon destination and filmed as they move in together.
Who’s getting married?
For five series, the British show has followed just two couples tying the knot on their first ever meeting.
But now eight pairs of newlyweds are the focus. And, just like Love Island, they’ll be living in very close proximity to each other!
Where is it?
After getting hitched, all 16 singletons will live in the same apartment block in the seaside town of Brighton.
They’ll all be married, but will they stay loyal to their partners? More than a few sparks could fly!
Plus, the couples will join in dinner party conversations to keep up with one another’s progress with their husbands and wives.
We’ll need a cuppa and a snack on hand this year, as the couples won’t be revealed until the evening of their episode!

In a refreshing twist, this season will meet the first ever same-sex couple.
Seven women and nine men will be on the show, meaning two men will be paired together.
Plus, the show’s synopsis revealed that before their big days, the strangers “get to celebrate their final night of freedom together at the ultimate stag and hen parties – where a surprise is in store.”
Who are the experts?
This season, three experts will dish out advice to the would-be lovers meeting at the altar.
Mel Schilling – who appeared on the original Australian version – joins the team. Plus, there’s Celebs Go Dating’s Paul C Brunson and Sex and Relationship Therapist Charlene Douglas.
We can’t wait to see who they’ll match up!
