Property  inspectors examine the structural aspects of the home to ensure they are all functioning properly – but sometimes they are truly shocked by what they see.

Images collected by Bored Panda reveal homes around the world that definitely were not signed off as safe to live in. 

They include a new-build property in Montana, which was occupied by a herd of cows for a month before anyone noticed the intruders.  

Another person spotted a drainpipe coming out of their wall and after investigating, they found a ensuite bathroom that was bizarrely boarded up and hidden behind the walls.

Another inspector found honey leaking from a wall socket after a hive of bees made a home in the wall.

A homeowner, in Poland, found a way to cut down on their electricity bill and went a little overboard with solar panels
