For the first time in nearly 20 years, a new flavour Wipsa bar has been developed and it will be available to all Cadbury fans in September. The chocolate giant has been working hard to create the Wispa Gold Hazelnut Flavour but it won’t be around forever as the brand announced it is a limited edition bar.
The original Wispa was launched back in 1983 and is the biggest success story in the chocolate confectionery market for decades.
12 years later, Cadbury released Wispa Gold – the same aerated milk chocolate bar but with a caramel layer.
While it was launched in 1995, the Wispa Gold was discontinued in 2003, relaunched in 2009 temporarily and then relaunched again in 2011 and has become a permanent option on the supermarket shelves.
Next month, Cadbury will start selling the Wispa Gold Hazelnut Flavour bar – Wispa’s delicious velvety chocolate bar with a hazelnut twist on the caramel filling.
Joshua Collier, Junior Brand Manager at Cadbury, said: “We’ve branded our Wispa Gold Hazelnut Flavour bar ‘A New Type of Gold’ due to its rarity and delicious hazelnut-flavoured caramel filling.
“This bar has been 18 months in the making and we hope Wispa lovers will enjoy engaging in its entertaining launch.”
Alongside the new chocolate bar, Cadbury is partnering with YouTuber and ex-mayor of London candidate Niko Omilana to give chocolate fans the opportunity to ‘invest’ in this new type of gold.
Ahead of the official release on Monday 6 September, hopeful ‘shareholders’ will get the chance to buy a single #WispaGoldHF ‘share’.
They can also watch the value fluctuate and then get paid out in delicious Wispa Gold Hazelnut Flavour bars to share with their friends and family.
The final ‘share’ value will equal the number of bars you’ll get back.
Among the eager investors waiting to get their hands on a ‘share’ of Cadbury’s new chocolate bar is London mayor candidate turned financial expert, Niko Omilana, who has over 3.8 million YouTube subscribers.
Niko is leading the charge as an expert Choc Broker, following the rise and fall of this new low-risk, high-reward hazelnut flavour investment.
Joshua also said: “Just like real gold, we’ve decided to turn our bars into a new (and fun) commodity, giving our fans the chance to receive a very tasty pay-out of limited-edition chocolate bars to share with their friends and family.”
With Cadbury bringing out a Wispa Gold spin-off, chocolate lovers were calling for some of the old favourites to return.
From Aztec bars to Spira and even a Wispa Mint.
Wispa Gold Hazelnut Flavour will be available to buy from www.CadburyGiftsDirect.com and all major supermarkets from Monday 6th September 2021, with a RRP of 69p.
The bars are limited-edition so put the date in the diary as once they’re gone, they’re gone!
