Will Mellor forged his friendship with fellow actor Sheridan Smith during filming for the sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
But in our new interview, the Coronation Street star admits he hasn't "spoken to her in about six years," adding that the actress – who he was once "very close" to – "never reached out" when his dad Bill passed away last April following a short battle with cancer.
"I haven’t spoken to her in about six years," the 45 year old said of his former co-star. "I tried calling her for about a year but she never got back to me.
He continued: "I offered her my support when her father died, but she never reached out when my dad passed away, which was quite significant for me as we were very close and she knew my family. That said a lot to me. I wish her well with her career and life though."
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps ran for ten years, with the final episode airing in 2011.
Speaking about reconciling with his former cast mates for a one-off reunion, Will revealed earlier this year: "I saw that Friends thing the other day and I thought we could have done something like that – talk about the old days, show some clips for fans of the show – but, to be honest, some of the people I don’t speak to any more."
As well as opening up about losing contact with Sheridan, the actor – who played baddie Harvey in Corrie until recently – discussed Christmas plans with his family, wife Michelle and their two children Jayden, 17, and 13 year old Renee.
"This year is also the first time in a long time that Michelle’s parents will be with us," he told us.
"They’re coming over from the Caribbean so it’s gonna be special. It’ll be chaos though – especially for Michelle in the kitchen all day."
While Michelle joked: "Between you and me, I secretly like it!"
