Timmy Mallett has shared that he does not plan to return to television after almost 15 years since he did his I’m A Celebrity Get…Me Out Of Here! stint in 2008.
Speaking exclusively with Express.co.uk, the 67-year-old former children’s entertainer set the record straight that the thought of returning to television “does not appeal to me”.
When asked if he considered signing up for Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing on Ice, Timmy mused: “It’s not something that jumps right out and appeals to me.
“I like the idea of trying something new. But, I’m not going to. I don’t really need to go off and break my leg. However, I can still do the dance to itsy bitsy.”

The 1980s icon faded from public view after his children’s show Wacaday was axed in 2002. He then appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2008 but hasn’t been seen on television since.
However, Timmy has now embarked on an incredible new career with his cycling diaries and artwork on TikTok.
Amassing over 66,000 followers on the social media platform, he delights fans with his bike tours and recently he cycled around the coast of Britain.
When asked if the possibility of a cycling TV show could happen in the future, Timmy said: “To me, it’s more important to actually do the adventure.
“I don’t know. I haven’t got a plan to do that. It may happen. It’s not part of my plans at the moment.”

He continued: “I’m passionate about the story. I think curiosity is a really wonderful attribute of human beings.
“And I think the more curious we are about things, the more opportunity there is to learn. And I find that when I’m on my bike, I stop at every opportunity.”
Timmy also said he hasn’t looked back on his appearance on I’m A Celebrity in 2008.
“It’s a very funny show to watch. Very funny,” he recalled.
“The hardest part of that is getting on with each other. That was the most challenging part of it. I’m quite happy to be covered in bugs and critters and given dreadful things to endure.

“Because I think that’s part of the fun. It’s nice to see our heroes or celebrities. But the hardest part, reading the other people.”
Alongside his current cycling projects, Timmy is also rebooting his much-loved gameshow to help the UK public pay some attention to their pensions now for the future.
Speaking about the campaign, he said: “Apparently, on average, people have 11 jobs.
“I’ve been a gardener. I’ve been a door-to-door salesman. Then I was a radio DJ and TV presenter, and an actor, it’s got a number-one hit record around the world, and now cycle touring.
“So you have to keep an eye on it [pension] because it builds up. But keeping a track on it is quite tricky. It’s really about making sure that we’re looking after ourselves through our lives. I don’t like the word retire. Sounds like abdicating out of out of being a valued piece of society. I think it’s a re-alignment of your interests.”
