Sara Bareilles announced Thursday that she had the coronavirus but is now fully recovered.
The “Brave” singer, 40, revealed the news in an Instagram Story while taking a “socially distanced” walk through the park.
“Just wanted to check-in. I’m really quiet right now and will probably continue to be quiet,” Bareilles explained. “Just sort of taking all of this in and having a lot of feelings as I do.
“I had it, just so you know, I’m fully recovered, just so you know.”
Bareilles added that she’s “thinking about all of the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love,” and is feeling “really grateful for every easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around.”
The singer didn’t say how she may have contracted the virus but on March 14 she wrapped up a run in the West End production of the musical “Waitress,” which she composed the songs for. Co-star Gavin Creel said in a podcast that he was self-quarantining because he believed he had contracted COVID-19.
