Rachel Riley, 36, has taken to Instagram to celebrate her return to the new series of Countdown. The co-presenter and maths expert shared snaps of her together with daughters Maven and Noa.

Rachel shared the photos while telling fans that today marked the day when she was back to work following maternity leave.

The star included four photos on the post, which were all photos of her together with Noa and Maven.

The post was shared with Rachel’s 535,000 followers.

In her caption, the maths genius announced and revealed the purpose of her post.

She included the same photos on the pub set of Coronation Street months apart with her two daughters.

She said: “Spot the difference. One mini me, one mini Pash!

“Back to Countdown from mat leave today, nice to be back and this just had to be repeated (22 months later) in the Media City foyer.”

Fans were eager to share their happiness for the star in the comments.

@Andysbirds wrote: “Beautiful photos”

@ThainJoanna penned: “Still all completely adorable.”

@Jackrussels2 quipped: “No draught Guinness on?”

The TV star has been married to Pasha Kovalev, 41, since 2019.

The pair now have two daughters together, with Maven being born in December 2019 and Noa being born in November 2021.

Rachel recently opened up about a tragic heartbreak she experienced last year, penning a message to fans on Twitter to express her pain.

Rachel experienced a miscarriage in 2020, and after sharing the message about the loss with fans, followers were extremely supportive of the star in the wake of her suffering.

She said: “This time last year I was shedding a tear for the baby that wasn’t meant to be.

“This year we were dancing around with two little girls in tow,” the mathematician wrote.

“Whether you’ve had a great last year or whether 2021 was a tough one, wishing you all a happy, healthy and better 2022 ahead.”

She attached photos of Maven and Noa to the post.

Fans of the Channel 4 favourite inundated the post with comments.

Rhoda Borrocks said: “You poor thing, that’s a lot to cope with at the best of times. I hope that this year is kinder to you, stay safe.”
