Piers Morgan ‘praying for a miracle’ after hearing Kate Garraway’s update on sick husband

Piers Morgan, 55,  posted to his 7.5 million followers that he is “praying for a miracle” as Kate Garraway revealed that her husband Derek Draped slipped into a coma amid coronavirus battle. On Good Morning Britain today, the presenter opened up about her spouse’s current recovery and how COVID-19 had “wreaked extraordinary damage” on his body. The star said that he may never recover from the virus.

Piers was visibly moved by the “emotional” interview with Kate as he shared with his followers his prayers for the couple.

He wrote: “Wow. Such a moving, emotional, inspiring interview on ⁦@GMB⁩ with my fabulous friend ⁦@kategarraway about her family’s #coronavirus turmoil.

“So proud of you Kate, as Derek would be too. We’re all behind you, hoping & praying for a miracle.”

Kate has not been on air since former Labour advisor Derek was rushed to hospital on March 30th and tested positive for COVID-19.
