Normal People’s Paul Mescal is definitely making the most of his exercise time during lockdown.
The 24-year-old has become an overnight sensation, thanks to his stint as Connell Waldron in the massively popular BBC Three series.
But he didn’t seem all that fussed about all the attention as he took advantage of the sunshine.
He was spotted going out for a shirtless run through a park in east London, rocking a pair of white shorts and black trainers.
And yes, he was wearing a chain.
While it’s not quite the chain he rocked in Normal People – which is apparently safely in Daisy Edgar-Jones’ hands – it’s a pendant none the less.
Paul and co-star Daisy have found themselves well and truly in the spotlight thanks to their portrayal of Connell and Marianne in the 12-part TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People.
It follows the relationship of the pair throughout different points of their lives, as they move from school to university – and beyond – together.
The show debuted last month and is an international sensation, with Katy Perry, Kourtney Kardashian and Gemma Collins among those tuning in.
And Paul teased whether we could be getting a season two any time soon, following the success of the first series.
Chatting to Wonderland, he said: ’Oh, there’s no question that character to me is still alive and breathing and very much has a lot of life left to live. [Connell] has a relationship with Marianne that is maybe unfinished.
‘I do feel like the series that has finished is its own thing, and I’m totally comfortable with that.
‘It’s not on the cards at the moment, but if I got the opportunity to play him again, amazing.’
Anyone else feeling like a rewatch?
