Metallica have postponed their South American shows originally planned for April to December in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
It has also been decided that three of the festivals they’d planned to play later this year in the United States have been canceled.
They are Epicenter in Charlotte, Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, and Sonic Temple in Columbus.
Metallica still plan to turn up for the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville beginning on September 17.
Additional headliners for the remainder of Louder Than Life will be announced at a later date.
Details regarding refunds and exchanges for the May shows will be published on DannyWimmerPresents.com on March 26.
The band said it will be back later this week with the new dates of the postponed South American shows and details about tickets and venues.
