Homes Under The Hammer star Lucy Alexander, 49, who lost her mum Kay Alexander in February, took to her Instagram page to pay a tribute yesterday, which would have been her birthday. The TV presenter shared how she and her family raised a glass to her mum on her special day.
We love and miss you.
The property expert shared a photo of herself raising a glass to her mum as she wrote to her 44,000 Instagram followers: “Raising a glass to you mum.
“We’ve all had a wonderful day in memory of you – celebrating your birthday & the unveiling of your memorial bench.”
Lucy went on to announce: “We love and miss you.
“And you are ALWAYS in our hearts,” the BBC favourite continued.

This comes after Lucy confirmed her mum passed away on social media in early February.
The TV star shared on her Twitter and Instagram pages: “My mum sadly passed away last night.
“She battled cancer to the end. I’ve lost my mate – she was my everything.”
Lucy went on to say: “RIP Mum. I’m waiting for your signs.”
While Lucy’s mum was battling cancer, she informed her followers how she hasn’t been on social media due to looking after her mother at the time.
The Customer Is Always Right star previously tweeted: “I’ve not been posting recently & I’ve decided to take a break from all social media as it just feels right whilst caring for someone I love.”
Since then, Lucy’s friend and former Homes Under The Hammer co-star Martin Roberts, 56, opened up about how he has been supporting his friend through this time.
Martin addressed the fact that Lucy was “suffering” while her mum’s health was declining.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Martin explained: “I know she’s going through some tough times at the moment because her mum’s really poorly and I’m trying to support her through that really.
“She’s definitely suffering a bit with her mum going through that.”
Last month, the property professional spoke out about “the waves” of her grieving process, as she wrote online: “Why is it always when you’re peeling the veg waves of grief hit #missmumtoday.”

Lucy who now presents The Customer Is Always right with BBC, left Homes Under The Hammer in 2016.
However, since departing the programme, the television personality previously admitted how she “misses” the hit show.
Lucy exclusively told Express.co.uk last year: “I have done it for a very long time and sometimes in life you need a little change, so I don’t regret anything at all. I still watch it and I’m still on it all the time.
“It was such a big part of my life, my children grew up with their mum on Homes Under The Hammer,” the presenter gushed.
