Love Island's Dr Alex George gets antibodies test as he works on NHS frontline

Love Island star Alex George has shown his fans the process of getting an antibodies test.

The doctor shared on Instagram that he had had the test done to find out if he had been exposed to coronavirus and whether he is ‘potentially immune’.

The reality TV star is working on the frontline of the crisis.

He also helpfully shared a video of himself going through the process of having a test done in order to provide more information and advice to his followers.

Dr Alex posted a selfie of him in hospital holding up a clear bag with a labelled test tube inside.

In the caption he said: ‘I HAVE HAD THE ANTIBODY TEST!! This is a long awaited moment and marks an important step in the fight against the coronavirus.

‘As someone who has been on the frontline throughout I want to know if I have been exposed to covid-19 and whether I am potentially immune.

‘I filmed the whole process of having the antibody test and explained the steps involved and what this could mean for you.’

He has been updating fans with what it’s like working on the frontline of the NHS, including a video tour inside a £250,000 ambulance and his struggles with testing suspected coronavirus patients.

Alex shared on Instagram: ‘I have been asked so many times how I juggle everything in my life and I thought I would film my day to give an insight into what I get up to,’ he explained.

‘There are so many people who work harder than I do but I definitely find balance a struggle sometimes. We learn and we grow.’
