Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall confesses she ‘can’t be a***d’ to exercise during lockdown

Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has just made the most relatable coronavirus lockdown confession as she revealed she “can’t be a***d” to exercise.

The 27 year old Shout Out To My Ex singer, who split from Jed Elliott last year, made the candid admission as she chatted about how she is handling lockdown.

Jade revealed: “Every night before I go to bed I’m like: ‘Right, tomorrow, I’m going to wake up and do some exercise.’

“But I don't know who I'm kidding, to be honest, because I can't be a***d.”

The star also gave an insight into her new routine, which is vastly different to her usual pattern of recording songs and touring with her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards – who recently shared a cute video of her dancing with her boyfriend while isolating.

She told Face Magazine: “I’m making sure that I shower in the morning and get ready so I look more presentable, so that I don’t just stay in my pyjamas all day. I feel like that helps me be more productive.”

Jade then revealed she is in lockdown with her two friends as she added: “I’ve been doing lots of creative stuff. I’m here with my two friends.

“We’ve been doing Lego and jigsaws and colouring-in and stuff like that. I’m trying not to be glued to my telly or my phone too much.”

She added: “And doing a lot of FaceTiming with my mum and dad. My mum’s alone because she’s self-isolating due to being high risk, so we’re trying to keep her company as much as possible.

“But, yeah, it’s kind of going quite fast at the minute. The day’s are all rolling into one.”

The singer also admitted that, despite initially enjoying the time away from every day life, she is beginning to miss her bandmates.

She said: “The first week of isolation, I was like: 'This is fantastic this, a few days off. No one telling us what to do!' Then the novelty sort of wore off a bit.

“I am really missing work, and I am obviously missing the girls. I see them more than my family, you know what I mean? So, yeah, it’s a bit strange.”

Describing her Canary Wharf apartment where she is in lockdown, Jade said: “She’s a three-bed apartment. I’ve got a little balcony. I’m really lucky.

“I definitely can’t complain, but I do wish I had a little garden or something.

“I live in Canary Wharf [in London], so it’s quite grey – there’s not a lot of lushness to walk around in. But, no, I’m good. I’m lucky I’m not alone.”
