Kate Hudson shares adorable twinning pic with daughter Rani, more news

Mini-me much? Kate Hudson and her 2-year-old daughter, Rani Fujikawa, kicked off the week right with a little mother-daughter spring cleaning — and an adorably hammy selfie, taken when they reached Kate’s sunglasses drawer. “Closet clean out with my girl 😎 Who else is ready for a Spring clean? 🌸,” Kate captioned the adorable shot, which showed the actress and her super blonde toddler twinning it up from inside Kate’s walk-in closet. While some followers couldn’t help but tease the star about the size of said closet — “I thought that was a department store,” one person joked — others, like Chelsea Handler, seemed more than happy to go with the girls’ day flow. “Tell Rani to head over here after. I’ll make her favorite margarita,” Chelsea quipped. Kate, 42, shares Rani with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa. She’s also mom to two boys, Bingham Bellamy, 9, and Ryder Robinson, 17, from previous relationships.

Sharon Stone says she can’t block the release of an even more revealing ‘Basic Instinct: Director’s Cut’

In her new memoir, “The Beauty of Living Twice,” Sharon Stone recounts a story she’s long maintained about the infamous leg crossing and uncrossing scene in 1992’s “Basic Instinct,” asserting that director Paul Verhoeven promised the audience wouldn’t be able to see anything despite her having nothing on under her skirt. Of course, that wasn’t the case. Now, a racier than ever director’s cut is slated to be released in honor of the movie’s 30th anniversary and Sharon, 63, says she has no way of blocking it. In a new interview with Australia’s “A Current Affair,” the actress, who was just 24 when the film originally came out, said (via the Daily Mail), “They’ve decided to release the director’s triple X cut for the 30th anniversary.” The host asked if Sharon could do anything to stop the release, given the exploitation she’s said she experienced while shooting it and Sharon explained that the Screen Actors Guild didn’t protect women in positions such as hers at the time “Basic Instinct” was made. “There are new [SAG] rules about that that have been made and created but they were made after I, as a young lady, made this film, and so they don’t apply to me,” she said, joking, “Regrets are like farts, you can’t get them back. Once they’re out, they’re stinky and gone.” In her book, Sharon said she slapped her director when she first saw the final edit of the scene, “… long after I’d been told, ‘We can’t see anything, I just need you to remove your panties, as the white is reflecting the light, so we know you have panties on.'” Paul, who’s 20 years older than Sharon and had significantly more experience in the industry when they filmed the movie, has denied culpability for exposing her in the shot. “Any actress knows what she’s going to see if you ask her to take off her underwear and point there with the camera,” he reportedly told ICON in 2018.

New trailer from Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey features Princess Diana’s funeral, cameos from Duchess Meghan, Archie and Lady Gaga

Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey have released the first trailer for their upcoming mental health series for Apple TV+, “The Me You Can’t See,” and it includes some heavy moments of candor from Harry, as well as guests including Lady Gaga and Glenn Close. “All over the world people are in some kind of mental, psychological, emotional pain,” Oprah says in the clip (via People). “Being able to say, ‘This is what happened what happened to me,’ is crucial.” Harry, seated across from Oprah, then tells viewers, “To make that decision to receive help is not a sign of weakness. In today’s world, more than ever, it is a sign of strength.” At other points, we see footage of Harry as a 12-year-old boy watching a coffin containing his mother, the late Princess Diana, pass by at her funeral in 1997 after she was killed in a car accident while being chased by paparazzi. The Duke of Sussex, now 36, recently told Dax Shepard on his “Armchair Expert” podcast that before he stepped back from his senior royal role, he was haunted by anxiety about potentially putting his own family in a dangerous position that could potentially result in tragedy. He said that meeting Meghan Markle, who encouraged him to go into therapy, helped him begin to deal with some of the grief and other feelings he’d been wrestling with. He also raised concerns aboutinter-generational “pain and suffering” that’s taken place in his family, telling Dax he wanted to “break the cycle.” Meghan makes a cameo in the new trailer, as well, as does the couple’s son, Archie. The limited series premieres May 21.

Lady Gaga’s dog walker returns to work after near-fatal dognapping attack

Ryan Fischer, the dog walker who was walking Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs in February when he was shot in the chest by assailants, has returned to work for the singer. He was spotted at Gaga’s home on May 14 carrying gifts and appearing to be relatively healthy and mobile, sources confirmed to TMZ this week. The two dogs who were stolen in the attack. Koji and Gustav, have also been returned safely, having been found tied up in an alleyway after the story of their dognapping made national news. After being hospitalized following the Feb. 24 shooting, Ryan returned to the hospital in March for a collapsed lung. In a social media post at the time, he said the lung actually collapsed repeatedly. “It became quite clear that my lung was not healing, and the bullet wound had scarred my tissue like a burn. It could take months, if ever, for the hole to seal,” he wrote at the time, according to USA Today. “Now I’m finding my way in the outside world where triggers are real and working through trauma is WAY more than dealing with one unfortunate moment in life,” he added. According to TMZ, he’s now only walking Gaga’s dogs during daylight hours. Five people have been arrested in connection with the attack, including three suspects charged with attempted murder and robbery.

Kylie Jenner prepares to expand into swimwear, beach accessory markets with Kylie Swim

Kylie Jenner’s been flooding her Instagram with uber-revealing bikini pics lately — and now we know why. Per TMZ, the business-savvy cosmetics mogul recently filed applications to trademark the names “Kylie Swim” and “Kylie Swim by Kylie Jenner.” Documents show the 23-year-old’s hoping to expand her line by selling swimwear and accessories including sunglasses, swim goggles, beach bags, cover-ups, headwear, beach footwear, towels and outdoor blankets. In addition to her Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin lines, the reality star has trademarked Kylie Hair, Kylie Baby and Kylie Body. Forbes now estimates her net worth to be about $700 million after the outlet rescinded its 2019 “billionaire” title, claiming the Kardashian-Jenner family falsified or exaggerated records to make Kylie appear wealthier than she is. (She’s denied the claims.) In April, Forbes named Kylie’s sister, Kim Kardashian West, a billionaire.

Drew Barrymore tells Dylan Farrow she regrets working with Woody Allen

Drew Barrymore was emotional on her May 17 show as she thanked Dylan Farrow for making the “brave choice” to go public with claims her adoptive father, Woody Allen, molested her when she was a little girl. Referencing her experience working with the director in 1996’s “Everybody Says I love You,” Drew recalled how “there was no higher career calling card than to work with Woody Allen” at the time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Then I had children,” Drew continued, “and it changed me because I realized that I was one of the people who was basically gas lit into not looking at a narrative beyond what I was being told and I see what is happening in the industry now and that is because of you making that brave choice. So thank you for that.” As the pair discussed their personal experiences and the HBO docuseries, “Allen v. Farrow,” Dylan fought to hold back tears, telling Drew, “Hearing what you just said, I am trying not to cry right now.” She explained, “It is just so meaningful because it’s easy for me to say, ‘Of course you shouldn’t work with him; he’s a jerk, he’s a monster,’ but I just find it incredibly brave and incredibly generous that you would say to me that my story and what I went through was important enough to you to reconsider that.” While much of Hollywood supported Dylan after the series launched earlier this year, Woody has continued to deny the allegations, asserting, as he has many times in the past, that Dylan’s mother, the director’s ex Mia Farrow, coached her on the claims.

Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan break silence on Caleb Kennedy’s exit from ‘American Idol’

“American Idol” aired its semifinal episode on May 16 without any mention of the fact that one contestant, South Carolina native Caleb Kennedy, was absent, having left the show after video surfaced that showed him with a friend in what resembled a Ku Klux Klan hood. Despite the silence on Caleb’s controversy on the air, judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan spoke with People about his exit after performances from the remaining contestants, Chayce Beckham, Casey Bishop, Grace Kinstler and Willie Spence, over the weekend. “First and foremost, as judges, we love these kids,” Luke said. “We get emotionally involved in these kids. We want the best for Caleb. As far as the nuances on how ABC gets viewed, either way, decisions got made and it’s our job as judges to show up and do our best job and comment on the kids who are in front of us. But we wish nothing but the best for Caleb. It does make for a very, very challenging and upsetting week.” Lionel chimed in, too, complimenting Caleb but suggesting it was time fore him to “move on.” “A lot of times, we think about it, we grow up and we make mistakes and we look at our life behind us many times and we say, ‘God, what was I thinking about when I did that?'” Lionel explained. “This was one of those situations where we kind of give him a big hug from the three of us. He has definitely has a talent. The problem is, this is one of those unfortunate decisions that had to be made and we move on. But this will be remembered in his lifetime and he’ll know what it’s all about.” Caleb, 16, apologized on Instagram last week for the video, which he said, “displayed actions that were not meant to be taken in that way.” Caleb added, “I was younger and did not think about the actions, but that’s not an excuse. I wanna say sorry to all my fans and everyone who I let down.” The Season 19 finale airs May 23.
