Emmerdale stars Jeff Hordley, 51, and Zoe Henry, 47, share plenty of updates with their viewers about their gardening on social media. This included a recent snap of Jeff working hard planting some potatoes, as one of their Emmerdale colleagues queried why he was doing all the work.
Zoe posted in front of her 103,000 Twitter followers as she shared the image of Jeff planting potatoes.
However, it wasn’t long before Emmerdale director Duncan Foster teased Zoe about the image.
He penned to the Rhona Goskirk star: “Why is it in all the pictures Jeff is doing the work and you are taking the pictures?
“Or is that a silly question… x.”
Zoe couldn’t help but respond to the cheeky remark as she quipped it was “silly”.
She penned: “Because I’m the better photographer Dunc! Very silly question!!”
The actor then completed her tweet with a winking face emoji.
Some of her other followers also waded in on the moment.
This included a fan who wrote: “She’s clearly supervising and the brains behind the outfit.”
Other eager-eyed followers also noticed the pair had a new dog in the snap.
One asked Zoe: “Ahh, what the new dogs name?? (sic)”
The Emmerdale vet then shared another picture of their new canine companion as she gave the update.
She wrote: “Ronald! Rita still rules the roost tho Sue…hope you’re well?”
Followers of the Emmerdale couple will know they’ve been sharing plenty of updates recently as they take advantage of the better weather to work on their allotment.
This includes a video of April 20 of the pair planning their broccoli as their dogs relax in the sun.
Then yesterday evening she teased how they’d been planting cauliflower and beetroot.
She tweeted: “More of the same today. Cauliflowers and beetroots planted.”
Zoe has previously opened about why they love working on their allotment so much.
Appearing on Loose Women back in 2019, she opened up about how it had been a way for her and Jeff to deal with his Crohn’s disease diagnosis.
She said: “There’s a lot to be said about mental health and having your hands in the soil – that’s a big one for me.
“For Jeff, it’s the health benefits of eating what we’ve grown.
“It’s great to share with my kids as well …not that they love it, they hate it.
“But I’m working on that!”
Jeff and Zoe have two children, Violet, who was born in 2005, and Stan, born in 2008.
