Hilarious moment foreign dignitary thinks Queen breaks wind after she apologises for horse

The Queen was reportedly left red-faced and forced to apologise after a horse broke wind as she showed a foreign dignitary around her stables.

The 95 year old monarch, who has returned to Windsor Castle via a private jet after a short trip to Sandringham, was said to be innocently showing the foreign dignity around when the animal shocked them by "farting loudly".

According to The Times, the Queen apologised following an "awkward pause" – but the dignitary appeared to be a good sport about the incident.

"I do apologise, your excellency," The Queen, who has joked about her desire to become a gymnast, reportedly said.

The foreign dignitary reportedly joked: "It is no problem, your majesty. I thought it was one of the horses."

This comes after the Duchess of Cornwall was reportedly left stunned after Joe Biden passed wind at the COP26 summit.

A source told Mail on Sunday: "It was long and loud and impossible to ignore."

"Camilla hasn't stopped talking about it."

This comes after the Queen visited her Norfolk estate on Thursday 4 November and returned home via helicopter.

While the Queen has been advised to take things easy in the wake of her recent health scares, it's believed she got the green light from her doctors to take the short trip to Sandringham where she is preparing for the Royal Family to arrive at Christmas.

During her trip, the Queen was pictured being driven around her estate in a Land Rover Discovery.

She was said to have been "delighted" to be able to spend time there.

This Christmas will be the Queen's first without her husband Prince Philip and, while it will be a sad time for the 95 year old and the rest of the Royal Family, the monarch still wants their Christmas to be "perfect".

A Palace insider told the Mirror: "This year, more than ever, it is incredibly important to Her Majesty to be surrounded by loved ones. The Queen is totally committed to hosting everyone.

"Her Majesty is resting under doctors' orders with the intention of being able to fully enjoy the company of her extended family over the holiday period.

"After being forced to cancel a host of engagements, the family get-together will be the perfect tonic."
