Cher has been opening up on her 40-year age gap relationship – asnd rushed to the defence of her toyboy lover.
The 77-year-old has been gushing over her boyfriend and music producer Alexander “AE” Edwards, 37, having gone public with their romance last year.
In a new interview, Cher has shared what she has learned since being in such a happy relationship, admitting “it’s never too late” to find love.
The music legend also quipped that she’s “not surprised” about the interest in her new relationship.
She told People: “Alexander’s got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair and he’s way younger.
“He’s a beautiful man. Also, I think it’s fun to be interested in somebody else’s love life!”

The star then explained how she fell in love with him via text and broke her one dating rule.
Finding love with someone younger than her was also a shock to the songstress as it was something she didn’t think would happen.
She said: “I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.’ So I did what I said not to do!”
The pair first met during Paris Fashion Week in September 2022, and a mutual friend exchanged their number.

Cher broke her dating rule as she found Alexander so “special” and has shared how much she “loves” spending time with him.
She concluded: “What I learned is that it’s never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, ‘Well, this is doomed’.
“But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time.”
Cher is set to release her first holiday album, called Christmas on October 20 and Alexander worked with the songstress on it.
Alexander, who is a producer, produced her song Drop Top Sleigh Ride, and Cher is “thrilled” with the result.
The pair made their first public appearance together in November 2022 while stepping out in Los Angeles with rapper Tyga.
They then made their red carpet debut as a couple in March 2023 at the Versace show in Los Angeles and even shared a passionate kiss on the red carpet.
