Many celebrities have been paying tributes to their dads on social media as families around the world celebrate the contribution of the father’s in their lives.
Whether it’s sharing silly videos, throwback snaps, or paying tribute to their own dads, many famous faces have shown their adoration for the dads they know and love.
Those posting include Sam Faiers, Stacey Solomon and Lucy Mecklenburgh, as they have shared their sweet memories with their followers while also sharing their thoughts on both what it means to be a dad, and how much they appreciate the ones in their life.
Here, OK! has rounded up some of our favourites to show you how they’ve been celebrating the special day.
Olivia & Alex Bowen
To mark Alex Bowen’ s first ever Father’s Day after the pair welcomed they son Abel earlier this month, his wife Olivia shared a sweet photo of the happy couple and their adorable newborn cuddled up together.
Captioning the photo, Olivia wrote: “Happy 1st ever Father’s Day to my favourite man, you are everything to me & are going to be everything to our favourite boy.”
He replied with four red heart emojis before posting the same snap on his own Instagram feed, captioned: "Thank you son." with a red heart emoji.
Lucy Mecklenburgh & Ryan Thomas
Lucy posted a sweet Father’s Day message to Ryan in her Instagram stories, which showed the happy family enjoying some time together.
Ryan, who shares Roman and Lilah with Lucy, also has another daughter Scarlett, from a previous relationship with Tina O'Brien.
Alongside the messages shared with him for Father’s Day, the dad-of-three also paid tribute to his own father Dougie James, who sadly passed away in November 2020.
Thinking fondly of his dad today, Ryan shared a sweet and moving black and white video montage of his dad and siblings set to Ennio Morricone’s tune, Deborah’s theme.
Lorri Haines & Ferne McCann
Lorri Haines fully embraced the Father’s Day spirit on Sunday as he gushed over the family he shares with Ferne McCann, while highlighting an important message that being a father is more than just DNA.
He wrote: “Happy Father’s I’m so blessed to have two amazing children…”
Lorri continued: “Today is a special day for all the dads & step dads out there, to all you woman that play both parent roles, to all of you that work hard to provide for your kids, to the parents that have to spend hours or days away from their children to go to work, and to all of you who put family over everything, you are great.
“Being a father takes more then just DNA it’s the sleepless nights, the daily support you give your partner, building stable foundations, it’s the early morning starts, the school runs, the tantrums, it’s about not giving up when times get hard.”
He then continued: “It’s about being there no matter what, being consistent, appreciating the highs and understanding the lows, it’s about giving them your love and showing them that you care even when you are having a bad day yourself.
“Being a parent it is our duty to be their role model. We must protect them, we must stay strong and most of all we must smile at them every day and tell them we love them.”
Rounding off the post, Lorri also sent his love to those who don’t have a father in their lives as he added: "Sending all the positivity and love I can, to those that don’t have a dad or any parents in their life
“Parents, today is your day… give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy yourself.”
Alongside the heartfelt message, Lorri also shared a video of his young family set to the music Moments We Live For, by In Paradise, before his Instagram stories revealed the handmade gifts his children had given him to celebrate the special day.
In one particularly adorable snap, Lorri revealed that the children had made him Father’s Day cards, complete with brightly coloured designs in felt tip and crayon.
Sam Faiers & Paul Knightley
Sam also paid tribute to husband Paul Knightley with a sweet and moving post on social media.
Sam wrote: “Good Morning! Happy Father’s Day @paulknightley. You’re the most incredible father to our three beautiful children.
"You’re loving, kind, funny, silly, patient, helpful, giving, gentle.. the list could go on and on. You’re their ‘Big Warm Dad’ (that’s what Rosie calls him)"
The reality star then rounded off the post with the words: "Your children absolutely adore you, you’re their hero. Today is for you.”
Tyson Fury & Paris Fury
Tyson was one of the first people to wish a warm Father’s Day to all the dads around the world on Sunday, as he shared a series of clips on Instagram of how he was celebrating his day.
In the first of these clips, the boxing legend could be seen out for a run as he told his fans: “Happy Father’s Day to All the Fathers Around the World”.
While in a second clip, he showed fans how he was celebrating, after wife Paris and the children had decided to spoil him rotten with a delicious meal and a huge variety of gifts, that included a purchase from Selfridges.
The star said: “Happy Father’s Day to Dad from the gang! I’ve got the Mrs there cooking up a nice dinner, trifle, all home made, a beef roast – come on! – And the kids have got me a load of cards and presents. Ain’t I a lucky man?!”
Tyson also later went on to pay tribute to his own father, John Fury, as he shared a smiling snap of the pair together aboard a yacht.
Millie Mackintosh & Hugo Taylor
Millie Macintosh didn’t hold back as she showered husband Hugo Taylor in love in a sweet gallery post on Instagram that highlighted his journey as a father to their two children over the years.
From carrying a newborn close to his chest, through to playing with two tots at once in a lively laughter filled game, a wealth of images showed just how precious he is to the young family.
Alongside the post Millie wrote: “Happy Father’s Day @hugotaylorlondon, it’s one of the greatest joys in my life watching you with our girls.
“They are the luckiest to have you as their Daddy and seeing how you are with them only makes me love you more, today we celebrate you.”
Hugo himself also shared the same post, before adding a sneak peak of the wealth of cards he had received in his Insta Stories, including a particularly adorable dinosaur themed one.
Victoria and David Beckham
Fashion icon Victoria Beckham took to her Instagram page to share a series of cute snaps with her husband David.
Alongside the images she wrote: "Happy Father’s Day to the best, most loving Daddy in the world!! We all love you so much @davidbeckham, you are our everything."
Victoria also went on to share sweet tribute to her own father by sharing some clips of her giving him his present – complete with his delighted reaction.
Stacey Solomon & Joe Swash
Soap star Joe Swash is a regular fixture in many of Stacey’s videos, but today it was the turn of Joe’s son Harry as he worked alongside Stacey to craft a handmade gift for the lucky dad.
Working together to craft a table from a piece of wood Joe wanted to keep, the thoughtful and practical gift captured the hearts of many fans as they watched the pair’s handiwork with keen interest.
Explaining their decision, Stacey wrote: “So me and Harry have spent this evening working on a special Father’s Day present for Joe. Joe saved this wood slice from the fire wood because he loved it so much. So Harry wanted to make him a little side table out of it.”
Another post is thought to likely follow later as Stacey pays tribute to Joe with a post from the rest of the children.
Rebekah and Jamie Vardy
To mark today’s special occasion, Rebekah posted a series of photos of her husband Jamie alongside their children while they soaked up the sun on a family holiday.
One photo even showed the family living it up while travelling aboard a private jet.
Alongside the snaps, she wrote: "Happy Father’s Day to the most incredible Daddy. Thank you for everything you do for us xxx".
Laura Whitmore & Iain Stirling
Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore wished her husband Iain Stirling a happy Father's Day on Instagram, before sharing another post in homage to her dad.
To mark Father’s Day, Laura posted a photo of Iain hugging her while she was still pregnant alongside another sweet throwback photo of her as a child with her dad.
For the both of them she said: "Happy Father’s Day to the best two dad’s any little girl should hope for."
