A new report suggests that the ‘Easy A’ actress’ mom is less than thrilled following the announcement of her pregnancy considering Amanda’s battle with mental health issues.
AceShowbiz –Amanda Bynes and fiance Paul Michael may be happy for her pregnancy. However, a new report suggests that the star’s mom is less than thrilled about it considering Amanda’s battle with mental health issues.
“Amanda’s mom is furious she is pregnant as treating her mental health issues has become complicated,” an insider explains to Us Weekly. “Amanda doesn’t want to take some of the meds because of dangers to [her] baby.”
The “Hairspray” star and Paul announced Amanda is expecting her first child on Tuesday (March 17), amid reports suggesting they had called off their engagement and reconciled, while the actress had been ordered to check into rehab by a conservatorship judge.
Posting a photo of an ultrasound, the star wrote in the caption, “Baby on board!” Her fiance confirmed that he’s the father of Amanda’s baby as he posted on his own page, “Baby in the making,” along with their old selfie and a photo of the sonogram. Amanda, however, deleted the post later.
In response to that, the actress’ attorney, David Esquibias, told TMZ, “I’m not confirming that Amanda is expecting and because of that it’s premature for anyone to speculate about who would have custody of Amanda’s unborn child.”
Meanwhile, previous report stated that Amanda might have to give up custody of her child when he or she is born due to her mental health issues. The pregnant star is currently receiving treatment in a psychiatric facility, and plans are in place for Amanda’s father and her fiance, Paul Michael, to share custody of the baby.
They explained Amanda’s dad was part of the arrangement because she remained under a conservatorship run by her parents, who have taken care of her, and made her legal and medical decisions for years. The “Easy A” star wasn’t reportedly aware she’s losing custody, and the insider claimed her pregnancy and engagement would not affect the terms of her conservatorship.
