This Morning’s Josie Gibson has detailed a serious health issue that saw her hospitalised following her stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. Speaking on Loose Women the presenter revealed that she ended up in A&E after becoming unwell on the flight home from the jungle.

She told the panel that she started to have difficulty breathing and headed to the casualty department to be seen by doctors. “I was on the plane home and I just began to feel really unwell, I was shivering and when I got back I had severe tonsillitis,” she confided.

“I couldn’t breathe so I got taken to hospital on Friday and they put me on a drip and gave me loads of steroids to bring the swelling down so I could breathe again, it was a bit touch and go whether I could have made This Morning so I just want to thank everybody who works in the RUH in Bath.

The 38-year-old mum of one was the last women standing in the jungle reality show and narrowly missed out on a place in the final. She ultimately came fourth finding herself eliminated the night before the deciding episode.

She finally returned to her presenting role on This Morning last Monday, December 18. However, some viewers branded her return “over the top”.

During the episode, Josie entered the studio wearing a silver sequin pencil skirt, a white fitted jumper and a hat similar to the one she wore in the jungle.

The host was cheered and called the show’s Queen of the Jungle as she hugged and kissed her colleagues who were lined up waiting to greet her.

She gave co-host Craig Doyle a huge hug and told him she’d missed him before she had to sit down on her very own throne.

Craig replied: “Well you are our winner, and Oh my God, it is so good to see you.” Josie gushed in response: “It is so good to be back, I can’t even describe it to you.”

He then pretended there was a cockroach on her shoulder, which left the mum-of-one panicking. “Don’t, I still have nightmares now,” she exclaimed as the show got underway.

While Craig and the team were thrilled to have Josie back, many ITV viewers felt her welcome back segment was “over the top” and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to make their feelings known.

Matthew Wright became visibly choked up when discussing the Brianna Ghey murder case as part of This Morning’s daily news analysis, describing the details of the killing as “too much”. He and Nick Ferrari appeared on the show to commentate on the events making the headlines which were dominated by yesterday’s verdict.

Asked about the case by host Craig Doyle, Matthew’s voice cracked as he struggled to speak. The usually talkative journalist and TV presenter struggled over his words and appeared to be close to tears. “I’ve been doing the journalism game for just under 40 years with the exception of the James Bulger case I’ve never heard anything like it in my life,” he said.

“And the lack of remorse from Girl X and Boy Y, 15 at the time of the killing, I don’t want to talk about it, it’s too much, it’s extraordinary. I’m left with questions like, ‘How do two children turn up’…this is a planned attack, they’ve looked at four other victims that they might have gone after, this determination to kill.”

“A planned attack by children and compounded I would say by Esther, Brianna’s mum saying that up until the actual legal proceedings began against Girl X, they assumed that Girl X was Brianna’s friend. It’s just beyond awful,” he said.

Brianna, 16, was stabbed with a hunting knife 28 times in her head, neck, chest, and back in Linear Park, Culcheth, a village near Warrington, Cheshire, on the afternoon of February 11, a court heard. Yesterday two teenagers were found guilty of the murder of the transgender teenager.

The two convicted teenagers, identified only as Girl X and Boy Y, both now aged 16 but 15 at the time, denied the murder and each blamed the other for the killing. During the trial, both said their backs were turned when the other one suddenly began stabbing Brianna.

Trial judge Mrs Justice Yip has told the pair that they will both receive life sentences.

Trial judge Mrs Justice Yip told jurors she will not pass sentence this week. The court is expected to reconvene to discuss a sentencing date for the defendants.

Following the verdict Brianna’s mother said her daughter’s killers have not shown “an ounce of remorse” and she has therefore lost any sympathy she previously felt for them.

Speaking outside Manchester Crown Court, Esther Ghey said: “Prior to the trial I had moments where I felt sorry for the defendants because they had ruined their own lives as well as ours.

“But now, knowing the true nature and seeing neither display an ounce of remorse for what they have done to Brianna, I have lost all sympathy that I may have previously had for them.

“And I am glad that they will spend many years in prison and away from society.”

A third added: “sorry but Gorka just had a baby and he looks like he doesn’t really want to be there anymore. I don’t think he’ll be here next series unfortunately.” Gorka welcomed baby boy Thiago with former dance partner Gemma Atkinson, with the pair already sharing little girl, Mia, 3.

Bookies have already given Gorka odds of 3/1 of leaving the dance contest after he previously admitted he was divided over returning to the show. A body language expert has also shared their thoughts on whether the professional dancer will hang up his dancing shoes.

Adrianne Carter claimed Gorka showed signs of being "fed up" following his latest routine with Nikita. After analysing a clip of Gorka and Nikita chatting to Claudia Winkleman, the body language expert stated: "At the start of the clip, he does quite a lot of sighing which is different from catching his breath.

"Sighing is often a sign of feeling fed up. His shoulders also slump quite a lot another clue that he may be feeling fed up. He really only shows signs of enjoyment toward the end of the clip."

Vanessa, 61, appeared on This Morning on Monday, 18 December and during the show's advice segment a viewer phoned in to ask for advice as their mother-in-law was enforcing a gluten-free Christmas dinner as one guest suffers from coeliac disease.

The viewer explained their 15 year old son is a "bit of a fussy eater" and would not eat any of the food provided.

Vanessa asked if she could perhaps bring some food for her son but the caller added that she had been told she couldn't do this, to which Vanessa said: "So she’s treating coeliac disease as if it’s a kind of fatal, potentially fatal peanut allergy."

She then argued that it was "completely unreasonable" to expect the house to be completely free of gluten, before adding that "it's not catching".

Viewers at home were less than impressed with Vanessa's comments, with many taking to social media to complain and insist This Morning should provide correct information about coeliac disease

Coeliac UK also penned a letter to ITV over Vanessa's comments, saying they were "deeply concerned" about the remarks made on This Morning.

On Tuesday, 19 December, Vanessa took the opportunity to apologise to TV viewers on her Talk TV drivetime show, where she was joined by Dr Saleyha Ahsan and a viewer named Jason, who suffers from coeliac disease.

She played a clip of the This Morning segment and began by saying: "I found myself at the centre of a social media storm this week, I'll be addressing that next."

"I said what I said there, but then I added that you should go in the spirit of Christmas and enjoy a gluten free meal anyway. I did not suggest that they put the coeliac in harm's way nor did I intend to show in any shape of form any disrespect to any one with coeliac disease," she continued.

Vanessa said she was "astounded" by viewers' reaction and "horrified" that she has upset people. She and her guests also discussed how coeliac disease impacts the body and the best ways to manage the condition.

She concluded her message: "I am astounded by the reaction and horrified that anyone is upset. I don't think that I said anything wrong but if anyone is upset that I am very sorry.'

"All I ever want is clarity and compassion and I am certainly not trying to play down coeliac disease. The last thing I wanted to do was upset anyone and I hope that I have made amends."

Sam Thompson has revealed that he considered leaving I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after a mere day in the wilderness due to a significant health scare.

The TV star, 31 and recently titled King of the Jungle, detailed his struggle with a panic attack on his first day as he discussed his journey on the popular ITV series. Sam, who underwent a week of seclusion, remembered feeling extremely “overwhelmed” by the introduction to his fellow campmates and the camp itself, which triggered a “full-blown panic attack”.

Thompson, who received an ADHD diagnosis last year, described an episode where his “heart raced” and he began to “perspire and feel nauseous”. On his podcast, Staying Relevant, with close friend Pete Wicks, the ex-Made In Chelsea figure recounted: “So the first day we get there, I had a panic attack. I entered with such excitement, I was ecstatic.

"But then it dawned on me what we were about to do and I just sat there thinking ‘oh no’. He claimed he kept the incident to himself and took time to get used to his surroundings and calm down.

“I was so quiet, and when people questioned it, I just didn’t have an answer. It took a while for me to get used to the surroundings because I was so caught up in everything. It's quite an odd feeling when you first arrive, but luckily, everyone was so kind." This news follows the audience's calls for Thompson to take on a regular hosting role on This Morning after his stint on Monday (December 18).

The reality TV victor co-hosted the Spin to Win segment with Craig Doyle and former campmate Josie Gibson, also sharing screen time with Strictly Come Dancing champions Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola. Enthusiastic viewers are rooting for him to be a staple on the program, gushing on X: “Sam should be the daily face for spin to win – that's what I call entertainment” and “We need Sam and Josie to team up for This Morning.”

A spokesperson for Sky, which commissioned the research, said: “Brits love to kick off Christmas with their favourite festive films and TV – and this year is no different.

In fact, those polled spend over 28 hours during December glued to their screens – watching 14 hours of TV episodes across the month, and as long as three-and-a-half hours a week of bingeing festive films.

The study was commissioned by Sky, whose spokesman said: “Brits love to kick off Christmas with their favourite festive films and TV – and this year is no different. There’s no doubt the genre is as popular as ever, and it really helps to get people in the mood.

“With more content than ever to choose from, and with so many hours spent watching a variety of TV shows and films, having a big range of choice is so important to viewers.”

The 25 year old reality TV star took to social media to set the record straight on her cosmetic procedures – detailing the ’tweakments’ she’s had done. It comes after Dani revealed she had jetted off to Turkey for more cosmetic surgery, despite being left "crying every day" after undergoing a Brazlian bum lift in 2022.

During an Instagram Q&A on Monday, 18 December, a fan asked Dani what facial procedures she’d had. She replied: “I get Botox in two areas just to prevent any fine lines. Skin boosters are my absolute fav.”

After detailing her preferred skin boosters, Dani added: "Tiny amount of nose filler just in the tip of my nose to give that lil pixie effect. I also have had cheek filler.

"I've not had that done in about a year do so it's gone down a lil bit but thinking to get it dissolved before I go back to filming as I feel it can make me look a lil swollen sometimes."

And in response to previous attacks from internet trolls, Dani concluded by saying: "Also I would like to state I have never had surgery on my face for all the 30 year old Karens that insist I have."

Earlier this month, Dani spoke on Instagram about how she had flown to Istanbul to visit the same cosmetic surgery clinic she had attended twice previously.

Dani, who has reportedly split from businessman boyfriend Reiss Boyce, told her followers in an Instagram video as she advertised the companies involved in her surgery abroad: "I'm back for another procedure. Obviously I've had surgery in the past, I'm back again to have a third thing done.”

Fans were quick to comment on the video, with many urging Dani not to undergo further surgery. "You're so perfect already Dani! You’re absolutely gorgeous x," one person said, while a second added: "What did u get done u already look amazing".

Dani's latest trip to Turkey comes after she underwent a Brazilian bum lift in 2022 which left her "at death's door".

She opened up to OK! about her procedure, saying: "It is something I always wanted, I didn't want anything massive. I didn't want a huge Nicki Minaj bum, but mine was like a pancake.

"I just wanted a body in proportion. I always had boobs and no bum – I wanted a bit more meat on my bottom half!"

Revealing what happened afterwards, Dani told us: "I had some complications and was in hospital for four or five days. I felt like I was at death's door. I was crying every day. I was on morphine, swollen for weeks and couldn't believe what I'd done."

She urged other girls considering surgery to think about it thoroughly and consider the recovery time. She admitted: "I'm happy with the result, but It was an intense experience. I didn't need to put myself through that trauma and I wouldn't do it again."
