People are sharing their horrific home haircuts during coronavirus lockdown – and the kids are definitely coming off worst

WITH hairdressers and barbers closed due to the coronavirus lockdown, many people have been forced to take matters into their own hands with a pair of scissors or clippers.

Safe in the knowledge that nobody is going to see them for several weeks or months, many people decided to give themselves a trim, but their amateur hairdressing skills have been put on full display with photos of their DIY jobs being shared online.

With most handling a clipper for the first time, the online community has definitely benefited from the disastrous results which have delivered a bit of humour at a time when many are struggling with social distancing or self-isolating in a bid to protect themselves from COVID-19.

The snaps were composed by the student website The Tab and demonstrate how spreading joy can sometimes counter the stress that many are feeling.

Even Chef Tom Kerridge tried his hand at styling his own son's hair and let's just say he should definitely stick to the day job.

Showing off his clippering skills, the father shared a snap of the tot's new do, complete with bald patches and uneven layers.

But Tom isn't alone, as this rogue's gallery of DIY haircuts shows – from accidental triangle fringes, to uneven skin fades.

Elsewhere, social media has proven a source of inspiration for many during these tough times, and despite the atrocious results of DIY haircuts, people themselves are so amused that they continue to share.

Meanwhile, Instagram user @bopoulsennyc compared the new "corona do" for the infamous Jim Carrey Dumb And Dumber bowl cut, while another showed off his questionable fade and new patchy do.
